Unfortunately, Dr. Robert C. Atkins, who made a lot of money playing on the ignorance of Americans, knew about as much about nutrition as an Arkansas hog knows about astronomy.

I don't think it's actively maintained anymore given that the 'in the press' updates stopped in 2005 and the site is still listed as copyright 2004. Someone's temporary hobby, was my impression. For some reason it's getting linked in debates again in the last few weeks, at least those in my orbit.

I've seen it before. Seems like every negative thing ever said about low-carb assembled in one convenient spot.

Whenever I encounter attitudes like this I always say explain my 60+lb weight loss in 9 months, combined with body fat that's gone from 33% to health zone 21.9%. I usually don't even get to mention my decimated tryglicerides & LDL and through the roof HDL.

Here's a link with a bio about Dr Greger, the author of the atkinsexposed.com website.

That's not good. It's evidence that he is biased.

Wow, Dr. Greger's studies have opened my eyes to the potential danger of red meat, pork and salmon.

Really? I could have sworn you already believed red meat to be dangerous from your posts a week ago in this thread.

How about reading these threads for more information:

Beef Prevents Cancer
Red meats and animal fats do NOT cause cancers -- study
Are saturated fats heart healthy?
Enjoy Saturated Fats, They’re Good for You!

You'll find lots more similar studies if you bother to look through the sticky in the LC Research forum. But I have a feeling your mind was made up a long time ago. Pity, that.

Are you saying Dr. Greger is a quack?

Dr Greger is a member of PCRM, which is enough to tell me the man has a strong vegan agenda to push.

You need to look a lot further than a quack site like his to get at the truth. That is, assuming you are interested in the truth. Which I really hope you are.

Now, have you bothered to look at the links I posted?
