Question Flaxseeds on induction?

Are foods made with flaxseeds allowed on induction? Or do you think it may cause me to stall? I am having trouble with breakfasts bc I don't really care for eggs, so I made these muffins with flax and they turned out to be great! But not if I'm not losing....Are they too good to be true?

Flaxseed is almost all fiber. It is really good food to add for your fiber! Most people love the MIM and it helps them have some variety in their diets! Enjoy! Make sure you count the carbs!

And the part that isn't fiber is oil--healthy Omega-3 oil. Between the fat and the fiber, flaxseed is 100% good for you.

Everybody on LC has some sort of "staple" favorite. The One Minute Muffin is mine. I eat one almost every morning, from induction onward. With the egg for protein (I use a bit of whipped cream cheese, too), it's a complete meal that fills me up for hours. Yes, I consider it "too good to be true."

I found artificial sweetner (AS) to be a staller, so if you are using sweetner and AS stalls you, then maybe that is the problem. I am able to eat flax muffins w/o sweetner. I use butter and cinamon, or eat them savory style, with a piece of sharp cheese.

Like Cleveland I don't add sweetener to my flax muffins which I tend to make in a fairly wide dish so I can slice it into a few large-ish slices to use as bread rather than make it in a mug. Also I cook mine for longer than the minute some recipes call for which makes it less sponge-y in texture.

I sometimes mix in an ounce of grated parmesan (I use the block cheese and grate it rather than buy the harder pregrated stuff) and put it into 4 mini-muffin silicone moulds to make 4 small cheese scones. Excellent split and eaten with butter either warm or cooled!

I never heard anyone accuse flax seed of stalling them.

Not a true stall, but it can hold on to water and increase your weight for a few days before everything comes out the other end, even if you drink plenty of water. Back when I ate 2-3T ground flax every day for a couple of weeks, I weighed about 3 lbs extra until ~3 days after I quit. It was just water weight, but made me feel a bit bloated, which I didn't enjoy.

I eat 2-4 tablespoons of flax seeds per day (MIM or pancakes). Not only do they provide extra fat (I use coconut oil), but flax seeds changed my life when my uterine fibroid tumors shrank -- even if they slow my weight loss, I'm not stopping.

Thank you for sharing. I have been consuming a lot of flax seed lately and wonder if this might explain why my weight is up a bit. OTOH, I must confess that I love how it cleans out my system, so to speak. Sorry if that's TMI.

I read that you can have up to two a day as long as you don't see any stalls in your weight loss. I love the "MIMs" too. They are filling and quick to make.

I definitely use flax seed. The MIMs are amazing and pretty much a staple in our house. So far no stalls for me!

Muffin in a Minute, AKA OMM--One Minute Muffin. Lots of variations, and all good.
