Default The Fight or Flight Response in Ketosis

Since I'm on a very low carb diet (10 grams of carbs per day) I am in ketosis generally all the time. I'm doing this to prevent reactive hypoglycemia, not mainly for weight loss.

I tend to have an anxiety problem in confrontational situations with people and today one of those situations came up that caused my adrenaline to shoot up and my heart rate to rise.

I'm curious. If you are in ketosis is the fight or flight response different from someone who is running on sugar? Does it kick you out of ketosis and raise insulin levels temporarily? I'm just curious because I want to try and keep insulin levels at baseline as much as possible.

Smart thing your doing.I get anxiety from adrenaline and some times I secrete so much that I can become extremely shy.Its like I can't have eye contact and just wanna be left alone. Its probably the 4 cups of Colombian brew coffee I drink daily. The other day I was walking out of a bathroom as someone pushed the door to walk in and I freaked out.The guy was like"dam easy on the coffee".Hehe.

Ketosis is probably better for you since it will give better blood sugar stability over time and so give the adrenaline gland a break since adrenaline is pumpedout whenever blood sugar drops too low....as you already know from the above post.

Oh and coffee will play with blood sugar levels also so it would be wise to not drink it.For me I like it and consider it my poison of choice.
