Hi, Inwaiting, I'm pregnant with my 6th. I'm curious as to how everyone is doing as well. I would love to hear all the "stories". Even if you didn't stick with LC for your pregnancy, we can still learn from you.

Inwaiting, how many carbs did you add back in to BF?? OR, are you not worrying about it at all?? I'm curious because I don't think I will be able to LC AT ALL after delivery. It dries up my milk and I don't want to risk it. I just don't know if I should completely stop LC'ing or if there is a "magical" number of carbs that I should go up to. TIA

Hi,
I'm pregnant with my second. I didn't eat low carb the last time but I only gained about 30lbs. I was overweight to begin with. I was sensitive to carbohydrates though. I could really feel the difference when I ate a really high carb meal. I am 13 weeks and I'm just starting to get over food aversions and queasiness. I intend to eat about 100g carbs per day mostly from dairy, fruit, veggies, and a little bread here and there. I think if I keep my protein at a nice number I should do okay. I am so fat and I really don't think I should gain 30lbs this time. Right now I am at 179 lbs. My doc hasn't said a word about my weight and she didn't the last time either.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, CrazyJ!!!! Wow, girl, you have an awesome Dr. Normally, that's the first thing they do is just on the "weight bandwagon" and make us feel bad.

I am sensitive to carbs, too. I find that being pregnant and having carbs is really hard on me. Last week, I had BBQ, fries, coleslaw, and icecream. Yuck, it made me feel awful. Also, my weight will jump up about 3 pounds just from one meal!! I tend to lose it within a few days of eating lower-carb, but it still bugs me that it jumps up so quickly.

Anyway, welcome to the board!!!
