Okay, first for my weight update:
Name............Start Wt....Goal Wt.....Current Wt......Lbs left to lose
xturkeyldy..........165.5........142............159.................17 pounds
magic76.............159..........135.............152.................17 pounds
MommyP.............150..........130.............143.................>13 pounds?
I said >13, because my goal isn't my absolute goal. I chose a weight that I'd be okay with, but I'm not sure that I can't get lower than 130. But I don't want to push myself at the same time, KWIM?
For the Thanksgiving thing, we're actually doing it twice. My MIL is working on Thanksgiving Day, so we planned the family dinner for Saturday. Then, I was discussing having some people over on Thursday with my husband, but he misunderstood. I was thinking having people over for coffee and to hang out, but he went and invited 4 of our friends and their kids over for dinner. So, people are bringing what they want, but I get to make what's good for me/my family at the same time.
I think I'm steamrolling my SIL with my plans for the dinner there, lol. She doesn't believe in vegetables, except potatoes and corn, and the dinner is at her house. She wanted me to bring rolls, I e-mailed her back to inform her I was bringing deviled eggs, squash medley, and whole green beans. I think I surprised her, but she's going along with it. For one, I'm tired of Thanksgiving meals with no vegetables except sweet potato casserole, and the sweet potatoes are only a vehicle for sugar and marshmallows. Even if I weren't doing Atkins, I was planning on bringing a vegetable or two that ISN'T CORN. I could go off on a big rant about their eating habits, but I don't have the energy for that much typing. I don't mean to be judgmental, especially since my eating habits aren't that great. I just want some flavor in my Thanksgiving meal this year.
