Just a friendly reminder that the food we eat and still need to fully digest weighs too when we weigh ourselves. Party and restaurant food also tends to be saltier than how I cook. Excessive salt causes me to retain fluid. So consequently, I don't count a gain after a feast for a couple of days.

For me, I usually see a quick drop after a quick post-party gain. Perhaps you will have a similar experience.

Alas that usually does not happen for me. I'll easily gave 5-7 pounds overnight if I go out to dinner at a restauarant or party, even if I stay *strict* LC - which I always do, and then it usually takes me 1-2 weeks to lose it again - another reason losing is so hard for me! It's three days since the party and so far I have lost 1 of the 5 overnight pounds I agained.

HI,

I went to my neice's graduation party and could not eat much there..........most of it was high carb.......I came home and cooked some steak and had sugar free jello............surprised myself that I stuck to plan. I really, really, want to get back to losing weight...........weigh in tomorrow.

What a bummer Merpig. But a gold star for you for getting right back on plan.

Found this easy cookie recipe:
http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=360961
I doubled the recipe and made 10 small cookies. I ate two of them and froze the rest in snack packs - 2 per pack.

Congrates Looseal!!
Everyone seems to be doing great!
I have had a few weeks of stall and hopefullly, the scale will move to a loss this week.
For some reason the last 3 weeks I am battling constipation! Getting a bit rediculous I may have to start to take something.......this did not happen from Feb to May but May on a bit of a problem....

This has been a busy few weeks with 2 high school graduations in the familly.

Good luck everyone on the weigh ins!!
Gloria

Sounds like everyone is still doing well or trying their hardest. I stayed even today. A bit higher in calories over the weekend. But I haven't cheated at all. This week I'll be concentrating on eating less carbs and calories. Drinking more water. We'll see if that helps the pounds fly off.

Alright, confession time. A coworker brought me in her awesome Hippy Lemonade. It's lemonade with chopped mint in it, and I'm pretty sure despite her soy/tofu/anti processed foods leanings, that there was real sugar in it. But I drank it anyway, and it was SO GOOD. Has not led to a downward spiral of binge eating.

Okay...yesterday the idiots at work got to me. I ate what was in the refrigerator and I have no idea how much. Yep, the scale is up 0.8 lbs. Dang it! Serves me right.

Gloria, have you tried the flax minute muffins yet? Works for me. Don't know if your plan allows that. They taste good especially with cream cheese and probably with a nut butter.

I'm the same way, Merpig. Or even a month.

Went up yesterday I guess because of the calories level. Even though I had stayed lower in carbs. This WOE is a learning experience. Today back down to my 293.

8 lbs to go to meet my June goal. Going to try real hard this week.
As to my other goals:
I am not exercising 3x a week (hip is so bad right now)
I AM staying away from sweets
I am not sticking under 1600 cals. I think that's part of the weekend's gaining problem. I'm watching those calories now.
Today is the 16th and I have been on this plan for 30 days. I have cheated in little ways but I'm still focused on the goal. That's the whole point I think.

Good luck to everyone today sticking to your goals.

Ok, so I resolved that I would workout on all my days off from work. (I get four off, so I think that's resonable). Worked out in the garage, now laying on my ass.

I weighed in on Monday and am down to 232. Sorry I haven't been around much. I have been feeling kind of depressed lately, I keep forgetting to take my meds. I hope to be around more soon.

Hi ya'll, just checking in. Diet is puttering along nicely, still in ketosis. One good thing about not having a scale in my house is that I won't weigh myself until the weigh in challenge at work. Results to be posted Friday.

Hope everyone is doing well.
