I have to say my favorite kitchen gadget is not really a gadget, but my Pampered Chef stoneware. I use the deep dish pizza one with the big baking bowl almost every day to cook my meats in the oven. Used together (one inverted on top of the other) they create a clay oven and make the most moist delicious meats ever. My pulled pork barbeque rivals that of any in a restaurant!

I must say that I have tried to get rid of my bread maker in every garage sale for years and I still have it. The other "useless" kitchen gadget I have is my springform pan. I thought I needed it for making cheesecakes, but my regular corning ware dishes work just fine. Like someone mentioned to me when I was complaining about how to use the springform pan, "it doesn't matter so much what your cheesecake looks like just as long as it tastes good!!" Boy was she right.

My Rival 16 Qt Roaster Oven [slow cooker].

I put my toasters and bread machine away finally, but it was slow in coming.

I like my immersion blender too, but don't need blending jobs all that often.
Love my Sunbeam Rocket Grill. Not really a "gadget" though?
Love my Cuisinart coffee bean mill.
Love my Crockpot.

I agree with most frequently used is a cutting board and a knife, too. I really don't like cleaning choppers, blenders, and food processors and stuff like that much.

Was put away all winter until hubs just recently got it back out: toaster.

Collecting dust: cake pans

Would like to try: that As-Seen-On-Tv manual onion chopper thingy that dices a whole onion with one push down on the handle... Anyone have one of those?

Its not a gadget but I'm for dishwasher. For 2 people and 3 cats we go through a load every single day, sometimes 2 if its a 'cooking' day where I prep a bunch of stuff on top of the regular meals. And I hand wash my good pans.

Otherwise, I'll have to say its my silicon bakeware. Its perfect for making coconut muffins and pumpkin custard, both of which I usually keep on hand.

Good knives and pans are something that are so fundamental I can't even list them. I had them long before I low carbed.

I have a microplane, and I love it, but I think my favorite gadget is the big wooden stomper. I use it as a "garlic press" mostly, but its official purpose is for stomping sauerkraut.

I'm also partial to the lemon reamer.

mine is definitely my foreman grill. this one has lasted me 5 years, but i could use an upgrade. other than that, probably my potato masher. i use it when doing mashed cauliflower and i end up with a nicely chunky texture.

Crockpot and stick blender.
And a good set of knives and a bamboo cutting board with storage for them.
That's pretty much all I need these days.

We renovated our house 2 years ago, kitchen being the biggest project as we totally gutted the old and built new.

I am in LOVE with my major appliances. My fav being the built-in convection oven.

Everything turns out so juicy and succulent, magazine-article-worthy in appearance.

ETA: I'm the only coffee drinker in the house. I bought myself a single serving maker with a stainless thermo mug...
I lock and load that puppy every evening before bed, flick the switch in the morning and off to work with it I go...

Also my slow cooker. Can't be without a slow cooker.

This is my food processor, garlic press, herb grinder & scoop, melon slicer, meat tenderizer, onion peeler.

It slices, it dices. A complete home appliance and a cultural reassurer all wrapped up in one.

Actually, my husband?

He loves cooking. And he even accommodates my LC.

But truly, at the ends of the spectrum, my slow cooker and microwave.

Thanks, feelskinny. For the record, my wife's favorite gadget is her santoku knife. It's sharp and works great when the power goes out.
