Question

Soteria,

Are the Pork Rinds you are referring to the ones that Frito Lay makes?

Those are the only ones I really like! I've tried other brands, and their either too hard or taste nasty to me. I eat these ALOT. I hope they're not sabotaging me at all.

I don't see how they could be stopping any loss. They are just pork skins with zero carbs. There are some recipes I have found recently where you take plain pork rinds and season them. I've gotten several I plan to try. One is putting butter, spenda and cinnamon on em.

Seems like you could put oil on em and sprinkle any kind of spices on them. I love Canjun spices. Gonna try that soon too.

Too bad pork rinds are so expensive. Almost two bucks a bag here!

Default J and J microwave pork rinds

Destro,

I tried them and they were good, especially when they were warm. I think I liked the barbecue flavor the best.

What is J and J?

I looked for microwave porkrinds next to the microwave popcorn...didn't find it.

Where can I get it?

I ordered some yesterday through this link:

http://www.microwaveporkrinds.com/

BUT I have not tried them yet; I don't know how long they will take to arrive. When they come I will certainly give you a review.
I have not seen them in the local supermarkets; I just read about them on the internet.

I used pork rinds for a while for "breading" but gave it up for Keto crumbs.

Pork Rinds are still a good op for "crunchies" though for me.

Default Pork Rinds

Hi everyone, I went to the OLD DUTCH FOODS website and emailed them about the nutrition info on pork rinds, here it is:
I would imagine anyone having trouble finding bacon puffs/pork rinds could also email Old Dutch and find out who supplies them in your location. Hope this helps.
Debbie,

Thank you for your email. The nutritional information for Bac'n Puffs is as follows; for a 14g serving size there is 80 calories, 5g of fat, 15mg of cholesterol, 230mg of sodium, 0g carbohydrates, and 8g of protein. If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know. I am here to help.

Could you please provide me with the nutritional information on this product. I am mainly interested in the carbohydrate count, any fibre count, sodium count, etc. I would also like to see this information provided on the packaging so people know what they are getting in your product. Many people now on low carbohydrate diets use these for their snack foods and we need this information for them to make knowledgeable decisions for their way of eating.
Thank you, looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Janet, I don't mind. How have you been? I have been battling a toothache for 2 days now. The dentist put me on penicillan but they pain is terrible and extra strength pain killers don't even seem to be helping. One thing with that, it's real tough to eat any meat or anything!!! I have to wait until next Wed and then go back to see her and find out what she'll do, I think they might pull it, it's that very last tooth on the top. Did you get my PM? The second one? Not much else, this pain is wearing me out and it's late so time for night night. Talk to you soon

Unhappy Pork Rinds

Hi all, It's my first day of induction. I just have one quick question: Where can i get pork rinds? I've been looking for them all over the place, in the snack area (with the chips, popcorn, etc...). Can't find them. I'm in the lower mainland (BC) if anyone knows where i can go.

Thanks

In order of easiness:

Try Save-On, Zellers, Walmart, your local grocery store... maybe even Safeway. Asian markets are good options, too.

Check out the LowCarb Yellow Pages (over there on the upper right under quick links).

Check out the Local LowCarbing Support::Canada forum.

Page through this Products forum looking at the Subject lines, LOTS of conversation about Pork Rinds.
