Go with your gut reaction (which sounds like go, to me) and don't overthink it. You do not want to regret not going, IYKWIM.

hugs, dear friend; so sorry for your loss.

Ok, thank you all for weighing in.

I have decided to go. I realized how long it has been since I saw so many of these people and how limited the opportunities are to see them - especially those who are getting on in years and those who are ill.

I'm sorry to miss our lunch but will catch up with all of you next time (the dinner we talked about???)

Julie

Julie, have a safe trip and enjoy your visits with your friends. You bet, we'll see you later this month for dinner!

Hugs

PS to the rest of you -- have we decided where we're doing Saturday's lunch? Anywhere works for me, as long as I can find it! This is STILL more about getting together than it is about the food.

If the weather forecast is right I probably won't be golfing - in that case 11:45 works fine. Jude? Are you in? Does that work for you too??

Sorry guys but I'm going to have to bow out of lunch tomorrow. Half the island has a chest congestion/hacking cough going on right now & I think I'm coming down with it As I have asthma, I have to be really careful about chest stuff.

I do hope to still get together sometime with you guys.

Sorry! Janet

Janet I'm sorry to hear that. And I hear you about the chest congestion - once you have asthma everything seems to head straight for your chest! Do you have a standing prescription for prednisone? When I start on that at the first sign of a sore throat, it sometimes helps to ward off a severe asthma attack even if it doesn't stop it going to my chest. Look after yourself, take extra vitamin D, and let us know next time you're able to make it over.

Well, Steph and I had a good visit and I had a good lunch (wasn't very hungry so just ordered an appy)! The waitress kinda (well totally) screwed Steph's order, Steph deconstructed the meal, and the waitress felt so bad that she didn't charge for Steph's burger nor either of our beverages! We left her a really nice tip!!! We tried not to talk too much about absent members and actually got to know each other a little better!

But we missed the rest of you - hope our dinner later this month is better attended!!!!

I had an awesome trip down south. I was very glad I went and I even ended up getting my pic taken with several of my old friends (and an ex....). I asked for everyone to share their pix cuz I forgot Tanya's camera here

I hope we can work out a dinner soon!!!

As some of you know I had a little mishap at the gym a few weeks ago and I finally decided to get it checked yesterday because it was bothering me on the trip.

Now we all know I don't do anything in part measures so - drum roll please (followed by the series of groans I will hear right after from all of you!) - I have a separated shoulder and a torn rotator cuff. I start physio today. Odd that it really doesn't hurt much which is why I ignored it for so long....

So, when's dinner?

Julie

Bah-rah-pa-pum <<<<groan>>>>

Glad to hear your trip went well Julie - you'll have lots to catch us up on! Look after yourself, and follow doctor's and physio's orders (except diet, of course )!!

Are we still on for the 25th? Have we talked about where?
