It's discussed in this thread, and from memory I think one or two people might have tried it.

There can never be too many bacon threads.

Bacon is meat candy. (I saw it on another thread)

Pork wrapped in pork and drenched in BBQ is a big hit.

CNN's Lola Ogunnaike reports.

We are going to try it one day (minus the stuff that isn't meat of course).

Might make a good BBQ dish somehow...

Um....no thanks!

Just not my thing.

Come to think of it - I've had a very hard time with pork in general since reading a bunch of articles about pork processing (Smithfield and others). I don't really eat bacon all that often to begin with, and the idea of combining processed bacon with processed sausage just doesn't sound all that great to me.

That said, I have found some not-bad sausage - without nitrates and/or other added unnecessary ingredients. Wouldn't want to ruin it with processed bacon, to be honest.

Not a question of fatty meats versus lean meats either. No problem with higher-fat meats here - just don't like the 'processed meats' aspect too well, especially after reading about pork processing.... and not to mention the nitrates etc. Yuck!

This just isn't appealing to me at all. Thanks Bo, but no thanks!

We absolutely loved this! Next time we're gonna use breakfast sausage and add scrambled egg, onion, and cheddar to the middle and leave off the BBQ sauce.

It didn't take all that long once I got the hang of weaving the bacon. I'd say about 5 min. to get it all rolled up.

It was pretty easy to roll up, I thought it was going to be a pain but it wasn't at all. That must be nice having someone to make your sausage, you know exactly whats in it
