I was called in to work last night, It was really hot here, and I am sunburned and it was to work in the produce warehouse, the cold felt great.

Glad you're back Oblong!

Thank you 2B and liddie

I feel more capable when I read these forums regularly. I was tempted by croissants and pastries today and thought to myself "but I haven't had one in such a long time... surely one wouldn't hurt?" but I held back and just had the coffee instead and soon forgot all about the pastries. I will do this, and I am thankful that these forums are here with so many people in similar situations, and that we can egg each other on.

Well, cheat day went pretty much as planned. The only thing is, DH got me candy for my b-day.

I didn't call it for that, so I haven't eaten any. I'm not real sure how to handle it. Should I keep the candy (hidden from children) and call another cheat next month? I don't really want to call a cheat to eat a serving (3 pieces) of candy. And I'm not sure how well it would go to incorporate it into my diet. Kinda like some eat dark chocolate. This is milk chocolate. I may be able to put in like one piece of candy a few times a week. Or I could save a serving or two and let the kids have them?

Just so you know, I'm not like craving them or anything.

2bethinner: Give it away. Find someone and give it away. If your not craving it and you really don't want to eat it get rid of it. If I keep stuff like that in the house I can be fine with it for weeks but then if I have an emotional time I find I have trouble keeping it out of my mouth. Of course this is just a suggestion and YMMV. Anyway Happy B-day and keep on keeping on... Elaine

MOMD day 13

I have three days off, BF and I were going to go away, but his DD had a setback, and now it it seems like her liver is shutting down, so we may have to go down to NJ again, instead.

Thank you Erin, and welcome back Tiffanylip.

I'm going to call a cheat for tomorrow, Father's day. It's just for a serving of each of the candies my DH got me. Possibly wine or beer, depends on what he feels like for Father's Day.

Getting back on track. Today is the best day to start. I am actually thinking about going to the cementary. My parents are there and I have not been back since my Dad died. I have always felt they were never there but have felt guilty because I have not been back.

Liddie sorry to hear about your BF Dad. I hope he stablizes soon.

So let's finish the weekend strong!

Erin, its his daughter, they cut into her colin during a c section around Christmas, sewed her up and she leaked a few weeks, and has been fighting for her life ever since, the baby is fine, but she is around 75 pounds at 5'10, and has not been able to eat or drink in months because her intestines are in pieces.

Good Lord! Can't they put a few more calories in her IV? The lady that was comatose for 10 years had to have weighed more than that! (Karen something.)

Liddie sorry to hear about that, Once the colon has been cut people develop peritonitis. It can be deadly and the fight is long. I imagine they are feeding her by IV TPN and Lipids. High calories and fats plus mutliple antibitotics. Is she in ICU or in a regualr room.
Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. I mean that
