Amen. It's a long-running joke among my circle of friends that Dr. Atkins is my secret boyfriend. When I cheat, they always ask me if we've broken up permanently or if we're just "seeing other people." LOL. I love Atkins!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with everyone eles here. People believe what they want. It's like that old saying "Don't throw pearls to pigs" . It's useless.

I still plan to always tell people that I am on Atkins if they ask. I have found that most people are sincerely interested--or at the very least, don't attack me but learn a little.

Sure--supermodel girl is closed minded and probably won't listen, but I am glad I told her ATKINS when asked cause it is the what I am following.

Next time this subject comes up with her, I should tell her I have switch to Anorexia instead of Atkins since she taught me that they are both the same to the brain and body!

I look forward to many more discussions on this topic with her if she ever actually listens after she talks....

Sounds to me like this girl has an eating disorder of some kind- why else would that even be at the forefront of her thoughts?

I had a vegetarian with the vapors today when she found out I lost 60 pounds since January. She told me how my bits would asplode, so I told her I've been an Atkineer since 1984, and none of my bits had asploded yet.

I used Atkins proudly.

I almost saw her facial tic.

Never eaten a vegetarian myself. I'd expect them to be stringy. How was she?

Self-righteous, but notsomuch on the stringy. Though I suspect she tastes like chicken.

Probably organic, free-range chicken. Hmmm, maybe I should try a vegetarian one day. Bet they cost less per pound than organic, free-range chicken.
