diet, I told my co workers. We are all trying to lose weight and when i told them tonight I was trying this they told me it sounded like a fad diet, but you know what? Ive read good calories bad calories and it makes sense, add to the fact that I have been dieting for two weeks now and have only lost two pounds. Well I hope to get acquainted around here and get to know you guys and gals. I spend alot of time on sparkpeople but I dont get the encouragement im looking for so hopefully I will here.

Hey, welcome to the boards.

I'll admit that I spend far too much of my time here at the forum....

It's a great place to learn and connect with other low-carbers who know, like you do, that this is not a fad--but a way of life.

Good luck at reaching your goals!

Atkins has been called a "fad" for over 30 years. That's one hell of a fad! LOL

I went on this "fad diet" with a whole bunch of co-workers. I totally blew them out of the water with my weight loss and won $320! So, just do it, sit back and watch what happens!

Thanks everyone. I went out and bought new diet revolution. I just wish their was a shopping list already made for induction, im going to work on figuring that out today.
I ate too much yesterday, even though I kept my carbs around 25 grams I feel lousy this morning. I have a sick little boy today so I stayed home from work, I will read the book from cover to cover and hopefully figure induction out, have a great day everyone!

The American Diabetes Association just endorsed this fad. Word is the American Heart Association is about to do the same thing.

Glad you found this place, best of luck in your weight loss.

This is not a fad, but I can see how it may seem like that with the induction stage.
