And Atkins always said only eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full. Yet allowing meat and fat made many wishful thinkers hear it as saying they could gorge on bacon and steak all day. Similar to how others were attracted to "The Drinking Man's Diet", which was also LC, but people focused on the booze.

The good thing about this WOE is that it is so satisfying verses those low fat diets of days gone by.

I also prefer and stick with the DANDR 2002 edition. Also I use The Atkins Diet Bulletin Board and that's strictly what they go by there.

I lost 70 lbs 2 years ago on it in 8 months. I was thrilled. I piled back on the weight because I am an emotional eater and turned to sugary carby foods to get through an incredibly difficult time in my life. Yes I a food addict. I am so glad to be back and to have lost 19 lbs in a few weeks time. Plus I love the foods. It's a delicious way of eating.

I've always preferred the Atkins 1972 version. It just works the best for me.
