Is this the ultimate in mean?

K, there's a co-worker here who is always competing with me on some level (read: jealous biotch). She is overweight and crazed with envy over my weight loss. She wants to know what I've been doing...

Oh, I so don't want her to take this from me! I kinda told her how hard it was to give up the carbs (evil laugh). She's probably not going to stick with it, but I feel like a monster not wanting her to get healthy.

Am I the biotch now?

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

In response to some questions--I started on Oct 2, 2006---so almost 11 months. I was actually somewhere over 320---probably 330+ but I had one of those unreliable scales, plus being so huge didn't help, so I don't know exactly what I weighed. My all time high was 350+--scary I know! I would say that what I do is most like Atkins, but I steal ideas from everywhere! I didn't want to put Atkins down at the other forum as I thought someone would jump down my throat if they saw I was doing things a bit differently than they were. I do CAD days when I'm bored or stalling and they seem to help. I also don't ever want to see anything as off limits, cause that's when the rebel in me starts to say forget it--so CAD days help keep that in control. It's been a fairly easy ride so far...but I can feel it getting tougher so I thought I should seek out some support to keep me focused!

Thanks again for letting me join you all!

Leslie--from last night's thread--I agree on cleaning the Foreman grill. Our new one is a little easier since it has removable plates--but still you have to scrub and scrub.

Yes, but sometimes it's good to be one.

We so totally know what you mean there!

You're doing a fantastic job and it's clearly working well. We won't jump down your throat unless you go on a donut bender.

Yea, but it's cool. Sounds like something I'd do, and I think I'm great!

LoveMyGSDs; am wearing size 6-4(US) leaning more towards the 6, I know this may sound small, but when I am not dressed I don't like my jiggly thighs, think they are massive and want to lose the extra fat... OK OK I have to admit, the only exercise I do is long walks, I try to do about 1 hour walk daily when off a project (been off a project for about 1 month now) but when working I am lucky if I manage 30 minutes walk, however I do 2-3 hours walk on Sat and Sunday.

I have done this LC journey before and got down to 125lbs before, but wasn't good at maintaining, first time, I did daily 5k running and did the BFL, yes it made me feel good and I was slightly (not massively) more toned. But now my circumstances are different, and I can't spare so much time exercising (used to spend around 2 hours a day at the gym) frankly my weight loss speed hasn't changed from previous time!! I had a diary of foods/weight/exercise/ body measurements from last time round, the speed and pattern of weight loss this time was exactly same as last time, despite the much lower intensity exercise this time round.... so I decided to keep the exercise I know I can keep up with and maintain for the rest of my life (walking long distances). In my old logs I was also stuck around the 130, however I had to have an emergency ovarian cyst operation, which meant I had to be in hospital Nil By Mouth for a day, then after I was in pain for a few days, and didn't eat very well, by the end of the drama I was down to 125lbs which was my goal- so I wonder if the operation drama was the main factor that I managed to go down to 125lbs??

It's a lot easier if you wipe it down when it's still warm.

Yes, but I would probably do the same thing.
