Yes, probably depends how long ago that was. From the late 1960s onwards, Brits started travelling to Europe, particularly the Mediterranean, and started experiencing new food. Before that, and especially in the 'poorer' northern regions where I grew up the only reason normal people went overseas was to fight in wars for the Empire !! With the channel tunnel and cheap air flights I know people who just 'pop' over to Paris or Nice for the weekend.

Mashed up avacado, with a little salt and lemon juice, is really yummy on lettuce. Mayonaise based dressings are dairy-free but not paleo.

Mmmm, Ruthla, I eat avocado like this all the time. Yummy! And a great all-natural dressing...

Avocado with salt and lemon juice is also my preferred method of eating avocado! Hey... my tomato plants are LOADED with tomatos, just need them to decide to ripen now. And that will go GREAT with the avo and lemon and salt. Nummy!
