Well, after my first week on Atkins, I lost 3.7kgs (8lbs). I realise a lot of this is water, but i'm happy!!!!

You go girl!!!!

I lost about that amount in the first week too. I've been doing Atkins for 4.5 weeks and have lost 6kg. I'm VERY happy with this - I've lost 11kg altogether since I started dieting in September but it took nearly 5 months to lose the first 5kg because I wasn't truly low-carbing!

Keep going and enjoy the process

Default well done!

Grats on a great first week. Just remember you may not lose weight every week, but on those you won't you will lose measurements.

Well done again! Keep up the great work.

Well done. I am just finishing week 3. I lost 3kg the first week and 1kg the second. Will hop on the scales in the morning to see how I have gone this week.

I'm amazed at how comfortable my clothes are now.

I'm finding this much easier than I thought it would be. And 3 people from work have now commenced after seeing my results!!!

I'm still running up against 'doubting thomases' - people who can't get their heads around not dieting low fat but low carb instead. Nevertheless, they can't believe how well I've done in the last month - a whole stone (6kg) is a pretty good run for a month. I don't expect it will always be like that, as I did lose 3kg in the first week. I imagine that that's just like most new ways of eating - the shock takes it off quicker at first - but I'm losing rougly 1kg/week and it's been really easy ... not like low fat dieting where every 1/2 kg is a struggle with willpower!!!

Keep up the good work gals

Rebecca

PS. I just LOVE how clothes are getting looser

MissBecca,
I know what you mean by those "doubting Thomas's". I recently saw a friend for the first time in months, she noticed my weight loss and asked me how I did it. She looked dumb-founded when I replied "Well, for Breakfast I have Bacon and Eggs, fried of course". The next comment was "But what about your cholesterol?" That is the standard question from everyone. I have almost given up trying to answer that one as everyone "knows" that eating too much fat gives you high cholesterol and nothing I say will convince them otherwise.
