I was born in N.O., but lived throughout Louisiana. I prefer the northern parishes' way of eating. I eat very little shrimp and none of the other seafoods or fish. Just don't care for them. My whole family loves seafood....I'm just the odd one amongst us.

Hi, I'm on the Northshore above the Ponchartrain in Covington. My Dad is from Grand Isle so I grew up on crabs, oysters, shrimp, crawfish, fish, boudin and cracklins. Does anyone know who would have the lowest LC boudin or a recipe?

Hi Kraft, my sister lives in your area, maybe I can get her on the LC bandwagon. I need to update my stats because I have finally reached my goal by going VLC/ZC. It simply melted the final pounds away. Just make sure to get enough good fats so you don't get fatigued.

Default NO one, and I mean no one has it so good!

Yep, Looooziana folks are the best. I live in Plaquemine, across the river from Baton Rouge.

I don't know what I would do if crawfish was not available to me.
good luck all.
I go on vacation...going to Georgia....(after the Georgia game with LSU) for vacation...I hope I will go with BRAGGING RIGHTS! LOL!

Wish me luck...give me some ideas on what kinds of foods I should "carry" in the car.

Oh yeah, Chili's has a great fajita plate that is steak, and chicken and shrimp...anyone here can you tell me if it is carb full or not?

Default thin forever!

I'm in Plaquemine...other side of BR.
I've got two daughters in New Orleans right now. Hope to come for lunch on Friday...what do you suggest. I am never going back to eating carbs!

I'll gladly buddy up, I don't want to stress out about all the age related illnesses related to obesity!
I refuse to get diabetes or heart disease...ain't gonna happen...not if I can help it.

I already have MS...but it is very quiet with this diet...isn't that amazing!

Good luck...
lets talk!

The other day I bought a london broil that was on sale and I cubed it into bite size pieces and put it in a ziploc bag. I also keep pork rinds around. I saw a recipe for boudin with portobella mushrooms instead of rice but have yet to try it.

Default Hello from Prairieville

New to the message board. I love it and never had any idea other people had the same troubles with carbs, sugar ruining their lives. Cheers Rob

Why thank you, I think we're pretty nice myself. I live between New Orleans and Baton Rouge but am going to the races at Delta Downs this Wednesday (we train racehorses) so I won't be far from where you live.
