Alright Maz,
Your cholesterol readings are very encouraging!!! It is so good to see the numbers improving...proof for this WOL. It must feel good to give the doctor "food for thought". I hope she really looks into it.

Another sunshine moment: Yesterday I had nothing to wear to church and took out a blouse I hadn't been able to wear for 10 years. Dusted it off, and it fit!!!! AMAZING! I am now thinner than I was before I got pregnant with my youngest, who is almost 10 years old. I feel like my middle is really shrinking. I definitely am not looking like Humpty Dumpty anymore. Talking Sunshine moment...

I'm wearing smaller pants, my old belt, and...
...my shirt tucked in today at work. I haven't worn my shirt tucked in in at least 6 months. First thing this morning, a coworker commented that I look smaller.

Weeeeeeee!

Default Hi ya all,

Sunshine moments:

Looking down and realizing I still can't see my toes, but I can't see my belt buckle either. Hehehehe

I can crawl under the bed after the dog

Trying on roller blades and having a complete stranger tell me I am pretty

Hugs to all,

Carrollee

Yay everyone!!!

It's such an encouragement to read how well everyone is doing and to realise that the same things that make me smile make others smile too.

I weighed today...down ANOTHER 5 pounds, so I know officially have less than 100 to lose! 11 down, 95 to go!

It is so great to read the little accomplishments that everyone makes.

The Vice-President of my company stopped me today and asked me how much weight I had lost...told me I was looking great and to keep up the good work.

Guess I'll invite her to my 100 pounds half way there party <g>

Talking That's really cool, Dee...

Good for you! An excellent Sunshine Moment....
...it's a good thing on several levels. Not only that you're becoming more healthy with each day, but also that someone you work for is witness to you showing respect for yourself and making positive changes. It shows strength and character--good things for one's employer to see.

Keep on!

Donald

After losing 22.5 pounds in six weeks, my sunshine moments have all occurred this week:

1. rings are now on next fingers as they twirl on previous fingers

2. can't wear my favourite clogs as they are too loose

3. got into a dress I haven't been able to wear in ages - gee when was the last time I wore a dress - so long ago I can't remember!!!

4. watch is now hooked into next hole in bracelet

5. most of my previous aches & pains are now gone

This is definately the WOL for me!!!

Default Aren't these sunshine moments great!

Thanks Dee, for starting this "Sunshine" thread. It is a real motivator.

As I keep losing the weight, there are more and new sunshine moments every day. And reading sunshine moments that others have experienced, makes me realize that we all pretty much experience the same disappointments, the same frustrations, and the same joys of victory, and most importantly, that we are not alone in our struggle.

I had a great sunshine moment yesterday. I had to go out and buy some new threads, because my old ones finally, literally fell off of me. I'm keeping my old belt though. I ran out of holes, but got out the drill motor and making new ones. It's a good reminder of how far I've come, especially if I'm tempted to cheat.

Thanks to everyone for some great tips and a lot of wonderful motivation.

Gator

Thumbs up

Wow, what a great thread this is, so full of happy news. I have spent the last month in Florida including a cruise and lost an additional 9 lbs while we were away. I was just hoping to be able to maintain. And today I went to a new doctor and got weighed and for the first time in about 6 years, the sacale didn't have to go up above 200. I've been shopping in thrift shops for my new size 16s because I'm going to get smaller. Thanks for all those great sunshine moments. Chris

Talking My rings are loose!

Just when I thought that nothing was happening, oops, there they went rolling around on my finger!

I finally had my wedding rings resized 2yrs. ago after 25yrs. of marriage & wearing them on my pinkie finger. Went from a 6 to a 9 & now they are becoming too loose!

I guess was a ray of sunshine for me, not having my had tight & swollen.

I've been working with a group at work on a temp. assignment for the last six months and today one of the ladies commented that I was "A shadow of my former self"......well, that made me feel good....although I've got quite a bit more shadowing to do.

Also, for the he** of it, I tried on some old stuff and was able to button up an old denim dress. Now, I'll have to lose qround 10 more pounds to wear it comfortably...but I tried it on 3 months ago and the buttons were inches apart....It didn't even meet. That was a real nice sunshine moment for me.

I love this thread...try to check in once a day! I like other people's sunshine moments as much as my own.....

Let the sun shine!
Shelly
