Default tuna heaven

this recipie is one of my favorites and i cant live without . also great for an entree at dinner parties. just serve with bread for the high-carbers:

Tunamousse from heaven
I can of tuna ( about 300 gr) or 10 oz.
2 tbls of cream
2 tbls of sour cream
2 cornichoner cut in bits
1 tbls of fresh dill
Salt and pepper
A splash of lemonjuice
Gelatine to stiff it up
Mix together all ingrdints exept gelatin in a blender ( use a small one if you have, or make a larger portion)
Make sure the cornichons are all chopped up, they are only there for flavor , not for texture. Taste and see if you want more salt , pepper or fresh dill. Then tjeck the package of your gelantine and use as much as you would think suits you. If the gelatin needs to be melted in something use I bit of cream and melt it in there. Add to the tunamixture and refrigriate until stiff.
Dressing
3 tbls sour cream
2 tbls of red onions finely chopped
Salt and pepper.
Mix together!
Serving it up.
Spon out the tunamousse on a plate and decorate with tomatoes and cucumber to taste . pour the dressing over and enjoy!
The mousse could be made in small portable containers as well as the dressing and with a few slices of red pepper its easy to take with you and just spon it out of the containers for lunch or a snack
By the way . this recipie is not even a lowcarb recipie per say. In high carb world it would be served spread on toast and with caviar on top
Carb count for the whole thing = 6 gr. This portion usually gives enough for 2 people

I agree, what is cornichoner. I tried to google it and none of the web pages were in English.

Cornichoner (or cornichon) is a gherkin type of sweet pickle. I would suspect they're fairly high carb, but they're usually quite small and two is not a large quantity. I would suspect you could probably substitute a Tbs of sweet pickle relish.

hi every one
i just realized that the amont of tuna might be a litlle high in the recipie. sorry for that. take it down to half the amount and ad tuna as you taste . then you would know how much you like. i like mine creamy so i actually only use about 150 gr. in this recipie. i will take a picture next time pikotgal.. . enjoy

So a sugar free relish would work in place of these "Cornichoner" I would imagine?
