I am still swollen from surgery that I had 3 weeks ago today. So I have to be a little easy on myself knowing that the swelling weighs a few pounds.

What surgery??

I had a tummy tuck August 30th. Which is why I am even more upset at the prospect of not taking better care of myself and my eating.

Tomorrow is not going to be a binge. I will eat everything but real sugar and I will not gorge.

My food is still going good but my weight is still currently 164.8.

I had a mini tummy tuck/breast augmentation/lipo to hips on Oct. 31st. I am so happy with the results!!! Although I do notice that my weight goes up and down within a 3 pound range or so. At night I get swollen from being busy all day.

Tomorrow I will eat turkey and veggies/salad. Lucky for me I am not a pie eater. However, Sat. is my DH birthday and my son and I are making my famous ice cream cake. I will definately eat that. I do make it as reduced fat and carb as I can, but it is still way bad. It will be my treat!

This is very true. I am NOT doing Advantage Bars or those Russell Stover sugar alcohol candies. (They give me gas anyway). Like so many others, I floated away from Atkins back in Feb, and my weight has floated right on up. I am eating only good complex carbs, when I eat them at all. No "treats" of cookies. A little sugar and I start gobbling all the cookies I can get my hands on. Tonight, my "dessert" was 14 pistachio nuts. They were good! I have a Lo Carb cheesecake in my future (Saturday is a BD) but other than that, it's ham, green beans with slivered almonds, and fresh cheesy salad for T-Day dinner.

This time I've decided to not bring the scale into the picture until later and judge by how my clothing fits and feels.

That is the only way you know how you are doing. All by the feel of the clothes you wear, NOT by the scale. I wish people would get rid the thing. It causes confusion, bitterness, and a lot of unessary grief. I think I weigh myself about once every couple of months. My guide is the feel of my clothing

OMG, you are so right!!! I am totally addicted to the scale and know it. I find myself getting on it 2-3 times a day. It controls your mood, when your weight is down your mood is up and when the scale is up your mood is down.

I put on a pair of jeans today that I bought on ebay about a year ago and I could not even get them up over my thighs before. Today I could put them on, button them and sit down. WOW- I need to go by clothing not scales.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!

When I am asked how much weight do I want to lose, I answer, "until my waistline isn't sucked in tight to get my pants closed. Whatever weight that is. My posted target is just a frame of reference.

Ditto to all on the Thanksgiving greetings.

Anyone still around here? I have not been able to get myself back on plan since Thanksgiving. Tomorrow I will restart again.

Yup I am still here! I have been back on plan since Thanksgiving. However I just went to a x-mas party on Friday after my weight being 150, I was not planning on cheating at all. I had a handful of peanut m&m's and that was all it took, that lead to many weekend cheats.

I am back on plan tomorrow and stay on!!!!

Welcome Back!

Well how's it going today?

I did good for 5 days and then had a cinnamon roll last night. Today has been good though.

So we are all sorta starting over. I did great after Thanksgiving and didn't even touch the leftovers, only to end up going to Vegas and binging for 3 days.

It tells me we are in the same boat, 3 years for me too, no goal weight in sight and your slip ups and cheats scenario is a page right out of my book....

You're not far from goal. It's in sight! Remember, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas," so you can be back on plan with no problems!

Boy oh boy...so I had another slip up again. If I can even just maintain, I think it might not be so bad for the holidays.

Every day, this is becoming more and more my mindset until the holidays are over. I just cannot seem to get through two consecutive days.

Boy do I hear ya on that!!!! I was being so good not to cheat and then had a handful of peanut m&m's at a xmas party and it has been a horrible cycle. Yikes!

I have come to realize that I am a sugar addict. OK, I knew I loved sugar before and always, my whole entire life. But I now realize and have done some research, I am a total sugar addict. I am going to start treating myself that way, TODAY!!!! I have to do it. My weight is up 5 pounds and I need to take it off.

Best of luck to you all! Thanks for listening

Oh wow I'm glad I found this thread ya'll. I'm so happy when people do well, but I feel like such a piece of crap when I mess up, which is often these days. Its nice to know I'm not the only one. I hope that sounded right. I don't know WHAT my malfunction is, but I'm so tired of it. I've been playing with the same 10lbs for about a month now. Up and down, up and down. I think part of the problem is I'm so busy I don't notice I'm getting hungry until I'm STARVING. Then I'll shove anything in my mouth. Thats only part of the problem though. I'm too used to making myself feel warm and snuggly inside with yummy food Hope you all are willing to put up with me here, cause I can really use the help!!

Margie
