I am very proud of myself today. Went out on my day off to get some stuff done and didn't even bother looking for a scale since I have banished mine form the house. Yaaaay! The bad part is that once again I spent too much money.

I finally lost a pound this AM! Took 3 weeks to lose it, but hey, I'll TAKE IT!

I also made it thru an evening and a whole day preparing for and having our MOPS consignment sale. Usually I would wander in and out of the food room, eating all the doritos and cake I could hold, but I ate only protein foods! Yea for me!

Plus I was down a pound this morning!

I not only got into my favourite dress (the one I met my husband in 5 years ago), but I was able to inherit a blouse from my teenaged daughter!!!! It's an awesome blouse, too!

As soon as I put on the dress, my daughter said, "WOW, now that's a lot of weight gone!"
YEEEEEHHAAAAAWWWWW

I had two awsome things happen to me this past week....I was cold outside (fall in Michigan can get chilly) and asked my 15 yr. old son to borrow his hooded sweatshirt to wear, he said sure mom, I put it on and it was totally baggy on me, my husband said "Wow, you are way smaller than I thought!", Then, yesterday when I was walking out of work, a bunch of guys were sitting at a picnic table outside the door on break, I actually got a whistle and was told I was a "hottie", I turned around, and got the "I didn't recognize you from behind, wow you look great" comment!

Now this sounds like something MY husband would say. They (and other ppl) have it stuck in their heads what we look like. It's not till we wear something completely different that they notice I think.

I showed my husband that my wedding ring was too big already. I told him I'm not going to want to lose it, so I'll be taking it off soon. He hesitated and said, "k, well, we'll get a little band until you're finished losing and we'll size it then."
two things in that comment: 1) he was worried about me being out in the world without a wedding ring, and 2) he believes that I'll keep losing (or that I'll stop soon. hmmm, nah, cup half full...

I have only had chest pains once since starting the diet (and that was due to stress deciding on whether to quit one job and take another).

I can make it up a flight of stairs without needing to sit down.
I can walk around the mall now!

WOOOOOHOOOOOOO

Default Not Sad Today!!

I wore my size 14 jeans to church today, with a soft feminine blouse, tucked in!!

Mark told me at least 3 times how sexy I looked!

Those 16's I bought from WalMart last week? Tags still on...going back today!!

I actually felt confident in my looks for the first time in about 2 years...and that in a size 14!!!

I ran five miles this morning like I've been doing it since I was born, not just for two years. I actually found myself wanting to run a few more, but was pressed to make it to church on time.

I noticed a couple of days ago that I don't feel my body jiggling any more when I walk. This morning I could feel the muscles flexing in my thighs when I walked. I'm down another pound today (Tuesday), making 2 pounds for this week so far(and the week started on Saturday!).
