Ok I leave for vacation tomorrow...I survived the week before vacation rush, crisis events....and I ate OK..I am weighing this morning to keep myself honest AND give me a little push to behave eating wise.(...and ONLY eating wise) on the cruise.. my incision infection of last week is gone!!! prayer does work!!

We will be gone to Europe for the next 18 days..no phone..no pager, limited email access....its a transatlantic cruise with European ports at the other end and we will spend an extra 4 days in London!

OK..I am back. vacation was incredible!!!! I m not sure how to weigh in now..I have a cast on my foot!!

My vacation WAS everything we dreamed it would be....BUT we went to a small town in Portugal..while walking the romantic cobblestone streets hand and hand...pinching ourselves at the fact we were REALLY there and getting excited over every quaint building and every breathtaking view....I tripped ( and not even princess like) on a curb and broke my foot...the cobblestones are very uneven and the curbs simply changes in depth of the stones..and being the vision of grace i am...it was inevitable!!!LOL..it was worth every wince. I did not seek medical attention until we got home.....and I didnt let it limit me much ( I couldn't ice- climb or rock climb...the only two things I didnt do on the trip that I had planned).....we walked miles climbed at l;east 300 steps a day and went everwhere..BUT note to self...one DOES pay a price for that decision....my foot hurt like heck..swelled really bad and is kinda a mess ...nothing permanent or terrible..just annoying. BTW the doc and nurses didnt even lecture me abt it....they said they would have done the same! Unfortunately i am back to real life today ..work, etc..
after my permanent cast is put on tthis morning!!
