Hey Q...thanks for the advice. We eat out all to frequently and when we do I usually make good choices. I'm trying to put a curb on my eating out not only for my waistline, but also for my budget...it gets costly for a family of 4 to eat out alot. My plan is to hold off until next weekend when we celebrate my daughters 6th birthday....after her party we may go out for pizza and the works.

It's sunny in Ontario.

Yah.

Lou

Good morning!

Plan: GI Diet
Weight: 129.6
Down 0.8 from yesterday.

Well I have surpassed my goal but for some reason I am not feeling the "THRILL" I was hoping for. It could just be that it is also that "TOM" for me...who knows. It could also be that everyone, including my mother, husband, and all my friends are telling me to stop losing weight...they tell me I look good but not to lose anymore??? Who'd of thought it would go from one extreme to the other. AGGGH

Way to go Lou!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on reaching/exceeding your goal. I am envious!

If your like me, then reaching a goal can be kinda anti-climatic. The truth has to settle in for a while and the more I think about it and all the benefits like looking and feeling better, the more I appreciate what I have achieved. I think since weight loss happens over a period of time you get more and more used to being slimmer and healthier. If you can go back in your mind to where you were at your heaviest then you have to agree that how you are now is much much better to how you were then. Of course our goal weight doesn't solve any other problems we are faced with every day but there is now one more thing you can be at peace with. When I reach my goal weight my efforts will then be concentrated on finding more peace in the middle of all the #%$&~#~!!! going on around me and why I over-ate in the first place, and why I used food like a baby uses a soother. Then I think I will have to start looking up instead of inward.
Here I go writing a book again! Sorry.
Enjoy the new and improved you and never never let yourself go more than a couple of lbs. over before correcting your weight!

OK. So I am 185 lbs. this morning. Finally reached my mini-goal! YES! YES! YES!!! Or the half-way point of total desired weight loss. I think I lost so much this week cause it's like I started again and it must be some water weight. I have to keep this up. With The Low G.I. Diet I think it's entirely possible for me (if I don't get fickle about it). Just get back to the basics, stick to the guidelines and portions. I feel really good about the foods I eat.

No change from yesterday.

A big THANK YOU to everyone for the congrats yesterday...I'm feeling better today...even though I seem to be fighting a bit of a cold.

Now that I have reached my weight, I have to focus more on getting active. How active is everyone here. Do you "work out"...if so, what do you do and how often?

Q....that's my intention....I'm actually going to try to get a couple more lbs off so I have a little room for the days that I just have no willpower. I bought a few jujubes and caramels the other day at the bulk barn...normally I would have ate them all....but I only ate 2 caramels yesterday and 3 jujubes.

OUCH...heel spurs...I know a couple of people with them....NASTY.

I haven't worked out in months either...I used to try to walk daily and I haven't even done that since the cold weather came. I'm trying the last few days to turn up the music and dance...I figure it's better than nothing! Have a good one.

Naughty food yesterday....had a few fries from McDonalds (out of the kids happy meal)....then I ate more than my share of rice krispie squares as I was cutting them out last night to bring to the kids school today for Valentines. Oh well.
