The magnificent 7 are exercises that combine deep breathing and contraction of the body's core muscles... some of the exercises like the Farmer Burns Stomach Flatener and Stomach vaccums are good examples of that method. Also, some of the exercises may seem old fashioned to some folks, but I swear by them. Those old time atheletes knew stuff about fitness that would amaze you. The book has many more kinds of exercises that strengthen your abs and core and there is a video/dvd you can purchase that show you how to properly do the exercises.

I also use a power wheel for my abs. That thing kicks my butt. It is a larger wheel than the small one you usually see. It has foot pedasl attached that allow you to place your feet and strap them in and then you can get into a pushup position and then you roll your legs in toward your upper body, This really works the lower abs!
