Default best ab toner excersises

Hi

I have seen some amazing before and after shots on this forum. I would love to hear from anyone who has lost weight and toned their abs to look like washboards.

I have never successfully lost weight or toned up........am now loosing for the 1st time in years and am determined to really shape up!

So tell me, if you have melted the flab and toned up then what did you do to get there.

looking forward to hearing your stories so thanks in advance for sharing.

When I gain weight the first place it goes on me is my tummy and that is the last place it leave also. While I was losing I did upwards of 500 reps a day on the abs lounge. Now on maintenence I avg about 300 a day to keep it gone.

The old saying goes "Great abs are made in the kitchen".

You can exercise your abs until the cows come home, but if they're covered in a layer of fat no one is going to see your 6pack! There's no such thing as spot reducing - unfortunately.

The best ab exercises are ones you'll do consistantly - cuz consistancy is the key. Most trainers I've talked to say you can't really overtrain your abs, but that working them more than 3-4 times a week isn't really all that more beneficial.

My abs are the first area weight sticks to and the last area the weight leaves from, just like Kevin. It's such a joy, isn't it? NOT!!!

Hang in there and keep your eye on the prize

Ab circuits!! Do not rest or rest very briefly between reps. Slow down, a lot of people try to speed through there ab exercises and if you do this you only cheat yourself. This is especially true on the down movement, consider returning to the start position just as important and feel those muscles work. I know I am really working my abs when I shake a little.

You might also want to try some isometric exercises, which will strengthen your core.

I got a trainer last week and she told me that the best thing for your abs is cardio. You can do as many sit ups as you want but, you need to be buring the fat and only cardio and watching what you eat can do that. Good Luck

Stubborn fat storage and water retention, skin thickness.

Along with some good low carbing all of this can be resolve also with a good fat burner to get things moving a long and cardio.

Dry washboard abs are really hard to get, onto of the weightloss.

I wanna concentrate on losing the weight first then will set a goal to get the abs.

Brook got it right to abs are made in the kitchen.

Sit on your gym ball, Swiss ball or 'medicine ball' instead of that chair while using the computer-- it helps build core strength.

Turbo Jam DVD's are awesome for abs. They have one specific DVD.....Ab Jamer that is a killer. I am really toning the midsection and this is quite hard at soon to be 54. I highly recommend these DVD's. I am really hooked on them.

I also use my physio ball for abs and do v-ups.

I use a system called Combat Abs... It is developed by Matt Furey. It entails using seven (7) exercises daily to blast the flab and get you toned. Don't waste your time with crunches... This program really paid big dividends for me! His website is http://www.mattfurey.com/combat_abs.html

I highly recommend it.

the site was a bit confusing. do mind if i ask....is the info on hte workouts on the site or do you have to buy that? i was overwhelmed with the info so i didn't surf too much.

Is it like oxysize or bodyflex? they are breathing exercises which are supposed to burn fat fast.....never really worked for me tho

i'm curious
