Default I know Im Fat when!

Hi everyone, Today is the first day of my Atkins LC diet. I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and tell my story.

My name is Kristine I am 43 years young and 60 lbs over weight. I am 5ft 5 inches and 180lbs I have been a size 3 most of my life and have weighed 123lbs . I realized I really needed to go on a strict diet when my back needed a bra. Evil Back fat! hehehe . So I hope from time to time to get support today was my First day of Induction and I did great and Only had 20 carbs the hardest thing for me to give up is STARBUCKS Caramel Frappachinos! Good Lord I'm craving one now. But I am determined to get rid of my cottage cheese thighs and my backfat . so there is my story and Im hoping to be able to wear a swim suit by summer time and be able to lay out on the beach without someone coming by thinking Im a beached whale and trying to put me back in the water.

I hope my post did not offend anyone I am making fun of only myself, and am serious about losing the weight

Kristine

yeah.. I think the secret is being patient..we want it now!!!! and this takes time..it took time to put it on and it will take time to take it off... mainly, for me..I had to come to the conclusion that this isn't a diet...it is a lifetyle...personally, I like al the food choices so for me..I still can't understand how I can loose weight while eating butter, fat..etc...wow...but I can live like this....I am finding ways to make sweet treats too...cream cheese, splenda...lemon juice...almost like cheesecake...

Hi Kristine,
Do some substituting
cooked cauliflower = potato
cooked chopped mushrooms with your favorite seasoning (like garlic pepper for ex)
drizzle over the cauliflower= mock hash browns and gravy

hope this helps

Annie

Yes, we do have an idea what you would give for some hashbrowns smothered in gravy. You are going thru the most difficlt part of low carbing which is ...low carbing. Remember that the reason you are doing this in the first place is because you are clearing those nasty carbs out of your body. Your body is accustomed to those poisons and wants you to put thme in. Stick to the plan with all of your might. I have the feeling that once you move past day 3, it will be easier on day 4.
