Mike posted this in response to another member who feels like she is doing everything "right" (eating well, exercising regularily) and not seeing any progress or reward for her effort. With his permission, I'm posting it here for myself......

I have noticed that the more I exercise, the more my body wants food. This makes sense as muscles have to be rebuilt after exercise and more capillaries have to be grown to support the future exercise. While they are being repaired after exercise, the muscles also retain water, which hides any fat loss that occured.
My advice is to keep exercising and let the weight loss occur when it will. Even when not losing weight, you are getting healthier.
