Hi, Blondie,
Actually it a cheap way to get a simular result as you do from weights.
I hate the thought of spending money to go to the gym and to outfit your home with equipment can be a press on your wallet too so I have opted for the cheaper forms of exercise.
abs lounge.....under $100
recumbent bike.....$159
cardiofit ..........I've had for over 10 years now and dont remember the cost but think it was under $200 on sale at Sears
and my bands and tubs.......again under $100
I watch Good Eats as well! Alton Brown gets on my nerves, but he's a smart guy, and the facts he puts out makes the show worth watching. Those bands look pretty interesting, but I think I prefer free weights. I have 5, 10, and 20 lbs dumbells. I can't use the 20 lbs. for much yet, but we'll see...
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Did you have a lot of holiday food to work off ? It usually feels good to me to start exercising after a little break. I hope it went well for you.
