Default chocolate milkshake

I LOVE milkshakes and anything chocolate. So I think and hope, as I am drinking it now, that I just came up with a receipe for a low carb chocolate milkshake that I think is pretty darn good. I put 8oz's heavy whipping cream into a blender, I then added some water....around 4oz to 6ozs. I put two packets of splenda in there and two tablespoons of dark hershy cocco. I then put probably about 8 to 10 ice cubes in and blended it all together. I think it came out pretty sweet, thick and tasty. From what I've read on the nutrition information...the heavy whipping cream should have 0 carbs...the water and ice 0 carbs....the splenda packets I count as a carb each so 2 carbs...the dark chocolate cocco says it has two carbs per tablespoon so 4 carbs there......that would be 6 carbs if I counted correctly. I'm so excited I had to share. It is so good to me though, that I'm waiting for someone to burst my bubble about the carbs Moonie

Sorry, but heavy whipping cream does have carbs. 8 oz has 6.65 carbs.

I thought I had read that somewhere on here that heavy whipping cream had carbs....but on the side of the carton it says 0 carbs. Thanks for letting me know.

Ah, once again the sneakiness of manufacturers rears its ugly head.

I believe that in the US manufacturers are legally allowed to state "zero" if it has less than 1. The trick is to read carefully what they say is the serving size. I'm willing to bet they are giving 1 or 2 tablespoons as their serving size, thus enabling them to legally say it has 0 carbs.

You can always try making a shake with a bit less cream and a bit less cocoa. Might not be quite as rich, but will still be pretty tasty.

And doesn't heavy whipping cream have like 50 calories per tablespoon? I'll have to stick to the Atkins shakes in the blender with a little added cream. Besides, too much heavy cream always kicks me out of weight loss.
