Default French Silk Pie...minus the crust

1 Cup Sugar (splenda)
¾ Cup Butter (soft)
1 ½ Tsp. Vanilla
¼ Tsp. Cream of Tarter
3 Squares Chocolate (unsweetened, melted)
3 Eggs
1 Tub Whip Cream

Cream butter and sugar till fluffy. Add Vanilla, cream of tarter and chocolate. Beat in eggs till light and fluffy. Dish into 1 serving portions, and top w/whip cream chill and serve.

I did this today with splenda in place of the sugar it turned out good, if you dont mind the splenda flavor....

This is a family favorite!!!

Wow...sounds great! Did you already figure the carb content? And how many 1 serving portions do you get from the total recipe?

Where do you get the unsweetened chocolate squares? It's not the same thing as baker's chocolate is it?

Thanks Sue! This pie has always been my favorite to make. Even non low carbers love it. When I started low carbing I thought I would miss this sooo much, than I realized I could hve it because all the stuff was "legal"

OzzyBabe88- I know this is probably to late to answer your question, but I do believe that it is the same thing...I guess the main thing to look for is it to say UNsweetend....

Does the tub of whipped cream have sugar in the ingredients? If so, how much cream would I want to whip up to replace it in the same amount?

Yes, I'm going to whip up my own cream for this, I figured the CW had sugar in it.

Assuming the 4-oz tub is about 3 cups: heavy cream doubles in volume once whipped, so I'd use a cup and a half.

Right, that's what I was thinking. You spread it over the top of the pie, it's not an actual ingredient, so you just need enough for that (and some left over for licking).
