Actually, I have a question. Why did you pick Atkins over South Beach in the first place? I'll go first...I needed to restrict myself from alot of things until I lost the weight...in Atkins maintenance, I can have what the SB'ers have...but I waited for that.

Well I would like to give a little intro of me...

My name is Rachel

I am 23 years old and live in The OC. I am big on exercise (except the past couple of months lol)
I used to be a runner but am trying to get back into that. I also weight train with a trainer.

I am not married yet but I have a serious boyfriend and we are headed there (eventually! lol)

I started atkins in 2003 and lost 22 pounds. I then gained back about 10 in the past 7 months because of various reasons.

SO I recently started back on induction to lose my last 10 which I know is going to be a HUGE pain. It feels like it will never come off no matter what I do

SO any advice I would loveeeee

Nice to meet you all!!

Rachel

When I started Atkins, South Beach wasn't around...or at least as popular as it is now. Plus, after reading the book and seeing all the foods I CAN eat and not just a list of things I couldn't eat...I knew it was the one for me. How can you not like eating steak, double bacon cheeseburgers, omlettes and veggies and still lose weight?? YUM!

actually...i bought the SB book first and tried it out...but i didnt like any of the recipes they had in the book or any of the foods...expcially the low fat cheese so i decided i was just gonna be fat for life until my aunt told me about atkins...and when i knew i could eat hot chicken wings and all other kinds of fatty foods like pork rinds and slim jims i was so happy that i tried it and in a month or 2 i lost 30 pounds....well i feel off the wagon but when i was back up to almost 300 pounds i knew this diet worked for me so i decided to stick with it for good this time and here i am

I can see their point. But nothing says you gals can't start your own challenge!!! I find it takes that much motivation to keep me on track! Plus it would keep you accountable!
