Too funny!!
  1. I want to play softball again (and run fast)
  2. I want to shop for normal sizes in normal stores
  3. I want to have a smaller waist than my husband (he wears size 33 Levis)
  4. I want to be a good example for my children. I want them to listen and to believe me when I talk about nutrition with them. It's harder to take advice from a mom who isn't a healthy weight.
  5. I want to be able to heal my insulin receptors as much as possible so I'm not on the brink of developing diabetes.
  6. I want people in general to look at me when I walk in a room rather than avert their eyes and pretend I'm not there. It's not that I'm looking for admiration. I just want to be treated as a normal person.
  7. To live a long unencumbered life
  8. To avoid developing diabetes and ultimately heart disease
  9. I want to have another baby and have a pregnancy with more energy and with a healthier body.
  10. To be more confident when dealing with other people in everyday life.
  11. I want to be more active outside with my kids and run easier
  12. To see my next birthday at a normal size
  13. To take up less room in a chair or on a couch
  14. To feel comfortable in dresses and wear them more often
  15. To wear shorts and other summer clothes with ease and confidence
  16. To have a more athletic look
I have a million but you know that's it for now

Things I look forward to doing:

#1 Priority - Have a healthy, secure relationship where I don't feel so ugly that I don't deserve the other person.

Sub #1 Priority - Get me some BOO-TAY!

2. Wear whatever I want and look cute in it.

3. Give myself dreadlocks (I have this theory they'll look cooler if I'm smaller)

4. Go to New York in August feeling hot and looking hot too!!

You guys/gals on this thread are hysterical (esp. the propane accessories guy!)

Things to look forward to when thin:

1. I want all the people that avoided looking at me when I was fat, to spend the rest of my life staring at how hot I look now (and remembering THEN), esp. when I NOW avoid THEM.
2. No more airplane seat thigh-bruising.
3. Buying and wearing REAL clothes, rather than tents by Coleman.
4. Being able to eat without some idiot nearby saying stuff like, 'should you be eating THAT?'
5. To have my insides (flirty and sexy) match my outsides.
6. To fold laundry and do other household chores without huffing and puffing like I'm having a heart attack.
7. To chase my dog down the street and catch the little fart without looking like a circus fat chick!
8. To date anyone I want without feeling like I have to 'settle' for guys bold enough/desperate enough to go out with me.
9. To keep my current job, knowing I could land another one - and not feel stuck or like a 'mercy' employee (though I like my job)
10.and the list could go on and on...but I ain't mentioning thongs! yow!

Its been so much fun reading through all these! I think the little rewards will be the most noticable.

Like clothes, walking normal and not really wobbling/bouncing lol.. Ive worn buttoned overshirts over t-shirts since 7th grade (i am 23 now) because Ive felt insecure. I still do, but hope that once I reach my goal I will be able to wear a normal shirt.

Silly, I know... but Its a complex I have.. Ive already noticed other thing Ill keep those to myself lol.

So yeah I think other than being healthy, I want to wear normal shirts!

David

PS: you guys are great and always make me feel surrounded by supporters!

Great thread - these are inspiring things.

- Go to Great America and ride on rides
- not worry about fitting in booths
- not worry about seat belts fitting
- be able to shop in ANY store
- participate in some sports
- love to jog some day
- go biking (hurts my butt too much right now - don't know if that would change)

It's mostly about the clothes. I am going to resurrect all those fashion fads that I couldn't wear at the time they were popular because I was too fat. If you see a crazy looking lady walking down the street with Cyndi Lauper hair, a Madonna rocket boob bra, Daisy Duke shorts, legwarmers with glass platform shoes with fish swimming in them, that'll be me. Nah, just kidding. Honestly, I just can't wait to fit into all my 30's, 40's and 50's vintage dresses. Some of them I've worn, some of them have never fit me. Oh, and I can't wait to buy a pair of size 14 or lower white or beige linen drawstring pants.

Also, I will sit in my chair with my feet in the chair, too--just to look all petite.

And sometimes when I feel evil, I think I would like to (if it were possible) find all those super slender women who have snubbed me or discounted me because of my size, and all the men I've passed on the street who try not to make eye contact with me because they are afraid I will WANT them (and lord knows they would get fat cooties) and give them a good dose of their own arrogant medicine. Revenge, as a fantasy, is sorta sweet. Actually, I wouldn't waste my precious time. I'm sure there's more but time for bed for me, right now.

1. Getting rid of the Womens/Plus size clothing. Why is so much plus size clothing so ugly? I don't want sequins and beads on my shirts. I don't want cotton candy colors.

2. Wearing a bathing suit without a huge long T-shirt cover-up.

3. Walking around the house in front of my S.O. in my underwear or naked without feeling embarrased. Feeling proud of my body, instead of ashamed.

4. Looking in the mirror.

5. Looking in the mirror and recognizing myself.

6. Feeling better, feeling healthy, having more energy and having fewer headaches.

7. Improving or even getting rid of my insulin resistance.
