Hi guys. just wanted to know if there's anyone in this support group from the Philippines? If so, would you guys know where to find "controlled-carb tortillas" and the other specialized atkins food recommended in the book? Because I really don't want to order from the net. hehe. (i'm not used to it)

thanks all!

I live in Puerto Galera. It's too hard to stay on LC for me now. It's so hard to find salad!

try healthy options, they have lots of LC stuff also, some of the rustans would have.. rustans ayala has so much health food, I bought alot of russel stovers chocolate from there =p uh, these are the LC cheat products =p

for main food when I'm in philippines I just eat normally, minus the obvious carbs.. so order without rice etc. works out fine.

Hi all! I am a low-carber, moving to Manila next year. My husband and I go to Filipino restaurants in the DC Metro area and enjoy it a great deal. However, we fail to find much on the menu that is lower carb. Any ideas of what to order?

I LOVE TO PANCIT BUHOL! YUMMMMMMMMM!

Not Filipina, but I am moving there for work. I absolutely loved what I've tried so far re food. DANGEROUS! The pancit is sooooooooo freaking good! I wonder if they have those noodles in wheat? Maybe not.

I'm surprised! There are so many American companies and organizations in Manila. As a fellow white girl, I can tell you that you're pretty safe with exception of Mindinao (the southern island). You'd really have to make an effort to get all the way down there. Traffic and pollution are your big obstacles.

What kinds of Filipino food do you enjoy? I know very little about it, except the noodles and adobo I mentioned.
