Well, you ladies inspired me to get out of denial over what I ate yesterday... so I took the plunge. Not too bad, just 2 measly little pounds.... since I am sure it is water (I ate ALOT, but surely not 7000 extra calories) it will be off in no time, especially since I am eating fish and green veggies the next two days. Ugh, TOM.... that's good for at least 5lbs. The good thing is that when it's over is when I would get a 'woosh'.

Tom usually slaps about three pounds on me but I don't get a wosh. In fact I sometimes don't loose it for a week after. Salt also causes me to hold water. I tried to use salt substitutes and they are just nasty. I no longer add salt to my food but I often gain when eating out, even when it's LC friendly foods.

My main problem with TOM is the week before when I feel like I could eat everything in the house. I used to be able to count down the days to TOM by other signs, but now when my stomach's growling and I just had supper I know I've got about 10 days until it hits. I just try to keep a lot of good snacks around, but when you combine maintenance and PMS together it's hard not to give in to that idea of "just one little handful won't hurt" and pretty soon you've eaten a whole bag of Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate chips....(But of course I wouldn't know anything about that...)

Hi

I don't weigh myself every day, since my weight varies three lbs every day, and I don't need to create any more stress in my life!

Same with TOM, gain three or four, can't eat (no appetitie) for a few days during, then I am back to the same lbs or less in about five days.

M

Yup, me too.... I have always wondered if your body is wanting the extra calories, or just another cruel trick it plays on you

Salmon patties from dana carpenders 500 recipe book (with lemon butter)
Cheesy Spinach cauliflower bake (yum yum, thanks to becki)
Lemon cheesecake

I'm in a experimental phase.. I always tend to do that right before the holidays. Something about being stuck in the house with cold nasty weather outside that makes me want to cook all day.
