Lily,

Sounds fantastic Nearer the time, let's divide up the work if it would help you. and do task some of us with preparing dishes in advance As hostess you shouldn't have to do everything yourself ... I'm sure several of us would be happy to bring something that just needs warming in the microwave on the day.

Thanks Sylvia, that's really nice of you.

With most of you traveling a long ways or by train I just thought it would be easier that way but if no one minds then I don't either.

Closer to the date we'll plan it out.

Thanks!

Default AFWife,Please fill in the gaps in my thoughts about the next UK meet!

HI! AFWife

I am just a month old on Atkin's and on this forum.

I have been reading about your success and viewing your success photos.
You are doing fabulously. I am greatly inspired.

I have also been reding your post ''the next UK meet at my house''.

I take it this is a uk meeting for the low carbers on this forum.
But to who all is the invitation to your house open to? I don't assume it will be open to newbies like me? I don't even know you- or anyone else on the forum.

But i guess this would be a great opportunity to meet all those fantastic low carbers on this forum in the uk.
Please fill in the gaps in my thoughts!

Thanks.

Of course you are welcomed. We wouldn't turn you away if we met at our usual spot in London so there is no turning anyone away just cause it's at my house.

Details to how to get to my place are available a week before the meet.

Welcome aboard looking forward to meeting you in person.

Sorry to announce that the UK MEET at my house must be cancelled.

I'm sorry if this brings any inconvienence to anyone.

Life has just gotten a bit hectic all of a sudden and I can't have this right now.

I hope to catch you all at a future date.

My apologies.

I'm very sorry to hear that I hope that real-life isn't being too much of a pain and that things work out well for you

I regret the Low-carb thanksgiving I was looking forward to, but understand 100% that other things are far more important

*sends good vibes and wishes in the direction of AF Wife*

OK folks, we can pull this off if we can move it up just one week to December 4th.
Is everyone cool with this?

Reason being is that the Air Force short changed DH's check for this month which meant we were gonna be short changed next month too. But it was there mistake and they are fixing it but we won't see the change till December.

THANKSGIVING DINNER IS BACK ON WOO HOO!

I was so sad to let it go, but it's back on.

Please come! We want you all too.

Hi Lily

Should be able to make the 4th December. In some ways that would suit me better as then don't have to rush back for the Brownies.

Sorry to hear about the mix up with your DH's pay. That will certainly put a strain on things. Don't forget we will all be paying our share of the costs. Do you think it would be helpful to send a deposit, in advance, it would also mean that you would be clearer on numbers. Give it a thought.

That's a nice idea Anne.

We need 3 turkeys and that does get pricey.

If anyone else is ok with this let me know.

Perhaps we could set up a What I Can Bring List.

I'll start:

I can supply 2 turkey's. And all the carb option/carb smart stuff we need for the prize giveaway and to marinate the food. I can also supply the stuffing, and veggies. I'm also supplying the plates, napkins, utensils, chairs, tables, outdoor canopy so we can make the dining area bigger.

Who can bring

Drinks
LC Pies
LC bread
Other, specify

I really want everyone to come.
