Ok I used 2 different brands when I first started. The thing was that since I was doing LC very strictly during the whole phase, I figured the carb blockers were pretty much useless. However as time progressed and I started to allow more carbs back in my diet, I have to admit that they did come in rather handy. My friends now take the blockers whenever they go watch a movie as popcorn is always on the menu then.

I wish I could have used a more scientific approach to the whole process, by which I could positively state whether the supplements really helped or did not during a certain phase. However at that time I was cutting and adding so many different things that I am not altogether sure if it was a combination of things or just one thing in particular that worked. Anyhow to make this short, I believe there are some definite benefits if you are NOT doing an already strict and LC lifestyle. In fact some of these supplements block carbs and FAT which I would assume would totally negate what we are trying to accomplish. My final pull would be that these carb blockers are great on those cheat days but don't let that fool you into thinking you can cheat every day.

I've used several brands. None of them really seemed to work

There is a huge thread on carb blockers that was running strong last summer. General consensus is that they don't work. I checked a site that sells them and there is a doctor there that answers questions. Even he says they do not seem to work. Can not remember the name of the site but it is easy to find in a search for carb blockers.

Regards

BRat
