I've used it and unfortunately, all I got for my money was gas, coupled with the feeling that a little "taste" of carbs was just fine with my magic pill to cover my butt. That led to two tastes.... Your mileage may vary, but the majority of people I know who've tried it haven't been impressed.

Default Agree with the Potato Guru

CarbStarve.

And they talk about snake oil ... well I think we are going to see a lot of low carb snake oil out there. Potato here was just being her normal politically correct self.

I have been afraid to buy it - I've had enough surprises with sugar alcohols that were supposed to be okay by Dr. Atkins.

A crutch by any other name - or excuse to carb-out.

Tom.

Ain't THAT the truth..........I was suckered into a few "snake oils" and I am still kicking myself for wasting all that time, when I could have been loosing some serious weight. ""If ya wanna play the game and win.......ya gotta follow the correct rules. ""

From what I have picked up, it only blocks a certain types of carbs, such as the starch ones I believe...and only a small amount. So if you're following an atkins WOE, you shouldn't have any starchy foods?

So..that would leave the only other benefit of taking it having bad gas.

Have you read the label on this stuff? The ones that I've read are made from white kidney beans. And guess what, beans are high carb.

I don't know about this one in particular, but I did read an article a while back talking about various carb blockers. The consensus was that on their own, they won't do much for a person, but in connection with a low carb diet and used only for occassions when a person thinks they may go too high on their carbs, they could really supplement the low carb lifestyle. I posted a link to it a long time ago, but don't feel like searching through all my old posts to find it...lol.

Wyspers- This is what I was hoping for. I don't take them everyday... just when I go over my 20g/carbs- and when I go over, it's like by 5 at the most and has been once since on induction. I had a couple bites of pound cake and started stressing!

Today is my 11th day in induction and I have been CRAVING Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait!! My friend Korina and I had a "virtual DQ session" last night and we imagined ourselves eating whatever we wanted from DQ and then we hurried to go down 2 glasses of water! It actually worked! LOL!
