Howdy, Mark!

I've taken the liberty of merging your post with the excellent DaVinci Favourite Flavours thread because, well, it seemed like the right thing to do

Did you know DaVinci has recently released a sugarfree splenda-sweetened Lemon Tea concentrate (looks nice beside the Chai Tea Concentrate ... haven't tasted it yet) and is soon to release a Green Tea concentrate? I can hardly wait for the Green Tea, I think it will be awesome mixed with some of their fruitier flavours.

But maybe I'm weird, I'd like to have an Earl Grey Tea concentrate handy!

Thumbs up Davinci syrups

Hello all,

I also really like these syrups. The Hazelnut is great in coffee. I enjoy the Key Lime mixed with some seltzer water and ice for a cold drink. Also, the Chai is great, especially with a splash of cream - I keep some at work so I'm not tempted to buy some sugary stuff from the cafeteria!

A big howdy right back at ya Judi!

Thanks for moving my post to the correct spot. The lemon tea sounds great too. With summer on it's way. (over 80 here today--unheard of for April, of course they are talking snow this weekend). I haven't seen the lemon tea anywhere. Is it available yet?

Mark

Hey, Szar.

The Lemon Tea concentrate is just now available from http://www.davincigourmet.com direct, don't know if OTHER retailers are carrying it yet (you could click on the LowCarb Shopping link above, for a direct link to the Netrition website and have a look around there). I'm carrying it, when I'm wearing my LowCarb FoodExperts Canada hat (just click on the big old logo in my signature, eh?).

Thanks Norma June for the great directions to the Toronto wholesaler. If anyone else is thinking of making a trip, phone
first so that you know what flavours they have in stock.

I bought 5 when I was down there, and only passed on 3.
So far I've tried the Hazelnut and it's great. can't wait to try the
chai. I use them in my protein shake which I have for breakfast.

I'm going to try some of the other suggetions here. They all
sound sooooo gooooood!!!!!

Lolabug.

Thumbs up Caramel and French vanilla syrups

Both these syrups are very good and have lots of uses:

Italian sodas with caramel and chocolate or banana or peach

Baked apple with caramel syrup, cinnamon, butter, and Splenda (we split one apple) - very yummy

French vanilla Italian soda

Almond vanilla pancakes, which contain the French vanilla syrup (see recipes)

Italian sodas with French vanilla, blueberry, cinnamon syrup, and heavy cream - liquid blueberry pie

(Do you get the idea we like Italian sodas? )

I have an idea that I can make caramel sauce with the caramel syrup, butter, Splenda, and not/Sugar (a no carb thickening agent), but I haven't tried it yet.

If you visit the Davinci website, at www.davincigourmet.com, you can check out their recipes - I think that's where I got the blueberry pie idea.

Waydown,

Go to the Recipe area and look under Breakfast Ideas; there's a link to the actual recipe.

These are really delicious. I do use 6 T of almond flour instead of 5, which makes them a little easier to turn over.

Question Davinci sugar-free syrups

I and my roommate tried the Key Lime flavor and it was terrible.
Is there a flavor that is actually good? Trying each one would be expensive at $11 a pop.

Lessara,

I have tried the pancake syrup, and it is "ok," though I added maple flavoring to make it taste more like maple syrup (thinking about adding a little guar gum for improved consistency too). I have vanilla and hazlenut on the way. There is another section on the forum rating the flavors, I think too, with quite a few responses.

Buying direct from DiVinci on the net, the prices are $3.69 for the small 187ml bottle, and $7.69 for the 750 ml bottle. The shipping is reasonable, particularly if you buy two or three bottles and average the cost.

I have the chocolate, french vanilla and raspberry. My fav. is the chocolate. I started a thread about these. Do a search for Davinci Low Carb Syrups. A lot of people gave their opinions on different flavors in that thread.

No need, ladies, for the search... the caped LowCarb Products moderator (that would be ME) is going to merge these two threads together and make it easy on y'all!

Lessara, this post pop up in the Favourite Flavours conversational thread when you get your notification (you DID turn on your reply notification?).

Default da vince still

Can someone help me with choosing a flavour? I like vanilla, creamy things a lot. I did order a da vinci rasberry, but it tastes very artificial to me. Ordering a whole bottle is a lot, so I want to make sure I will like it? How is dulce con leche or french vanille?
Thanks,
Kati
