Sounds great. I am sure my team would be happy to join a friendly competition. I will copy your post to our thread and let you know what they want to do.

Best of luck to all of you.

I'm happy to be part of this group of losers!

Let's get to know each other a little more. I'll start . . .

I live on the east coast in Wilmington NC and am a 54 year old female with a husband of 33 years and two grown, married daughters, two son-in-laws that I really like and 2 of the best grandsons anyone could imagine. I work full-time as a Quality Program Manager for an engineering firm and my husband has been retired for the past 2 year (lucky him).

Eating properly and exercising should be easy since my husband is diabetic and controls his blood sugar with diet and exercise - he takes no meds for it! He is extrememly disciplined; he follows his diet perfectly and walks 2 to 3 miles every day. I on the other end of the spectrum, prefer to be a couch potatoe and eat everything in site. I am working to make South Beach and Curves a way of life for me.

I am 19 years old, as of now i work at a preschool, currently going to school to be an elementary school teacher. I have been married for 3 years to a wonderful man, Tom. We have no children and live in Mississippi. I dont really have any excuse for my weight, i just have trouble trying to loose without giving up. This is why i have joined all of you! I know that we will all loose our weight, live long and healthy! Thanks Low Carbers!

WOW kristin62, you got married young.

I'm 30, Puerto Rican, raised in Florida, have 2 kids, military wife, GO AIR FORCE! Stationed in England till 2007. Have a home business, Home Daycare. Married almost 5 years now.

Started Atkins in November 2003 and since have lost 100 pounds.

I'm just the cheerleader of the group but thought I'd tell ya all a bit of myself too.

Cool

Okay guys and girls our team is now complete.I am sorry to anyone who wants to join now but it will be too much for us to try and keep up with.We don't mind chatting or sharing with everyone.Alright we have a set goal of 152 pounds by July 4th. In our journals we should post anything that we feel about the foods that we have tried.Get a gym log and we can post anything we want about our exercise. Now for a little about me.I am a Hair Stylist.I love my job.It is the perfect outlet for me to meet people and share thoughts.I joined Curves about a month ago.I had my first weigh in last week and lost 5.25 pounds and 11.75 inches.I will addmit I am a little disappointed with the low weight loss. But I do know that muscle mass can weigh more in the begining. It is still hard to accept.Monday's are fine with me for reporting weight loss.We can still weigh ourselves whenever we feel it is our day.Remember we are competing against Cicero and his team.I want us to be the big loosers. Also, something I thought I would share with you all.If a week goes by and you haven't lost or you might have even put on a pound and you know that you didn't cheat that can be normal.A lot of things factor into real weight loss.To me the loss at the end of a month is how you should judge your progress.I know someone who gets on the scale 2-3 times a day and freaks out at the changes. At the end of the month she always realizes that she did loose. But she goes crazy and feels discouraged. These are the feelings that we are here for , so don't worry if that happens. It is the DIET DEVIL trying to make you quit.At least that is what I tell myself. Alright loosers let's loose!!!!!!!

Great team we have!! And as for the weigh day, doesn't matter to me at all honestly. I can go with the flow =)

A little about me.......I am a 33 year old HR executive. Hubby and I were high school sweethearts and have been married 12 years - still very happily! Our lives are very complete except for one big thing........we are looking to start a family soon which was the main motivation for starting this WOE. I have PCOS and so losing weight is a must for having a child and considering my age, my biological clock is ticking so loud that my neighbors can hear it . We live on a 20 acre ranch in TX so luckily have plenty of room for exercising, bike riding, and to run with our dogs. Oddly, the hubby and I gained weight at almost the exact same proportion and so doing this WOE together is nice because we can have co-goals . We are really looking forward to being part of this team for that extra motivation and support. I know we can all be BIG LOOSERS!!!!!!!

ok.. I am 29. I also married my highschool sweetheart and will be celebrating 10 year in July (14 if ya count the dating years). I have 3 daughters that I homeschool. I am from the West Tennessee / North Mississippi area, but my hubbie was transferred to Indianapolis, so... that is where we hang our hats right now. Will be moving home in a few years. I am actually a RN, but now that we moved I get to stay home
SO, in short...I am a Christian, Republican, loud mouthed, gun totin' southerner living in yankee-vill right now.

I love people, kids and animals. But I do eat the latter as long as they're not domesticated.

Great reading about you all! I am 31 years old and have been married almost 2 years now. Right now I'm a stay at home mom to a 10 month old son. My husband and I just relocated from the west coast to TN for his job. I am actually a database specialist by trade but am taking time off to raise my son for at least a year. I do miss working though!!!

I am excited to be a part of this group so we can give each other that extra Ooomph to get this nasty lb -age off! I haven't been able to get my pregnancy weight off and then some and so far I've lost at least 7lbs! This is the first time in YEARS.. that I've managed to keep my motivation and so far I have no desire to cheat! As I've heard it before.. "Nothing tastes as good as being thin" A super motto!
