Default 5-htp

I'd lost 50 lbs but the weight has slowly started creeping back, which is freaking me out. I'm very conscious of why it's happening: Bingeing. I'm still doing low carb, but I'm eating too many commercial low carb products that taste too good, like low carb ice cream. Yes, it's only 4 net carbs for a 1/2 cup serving, so I serve myself half a cup in a cup, then eat 4 cups out of the container. I always do this after dinner. So, I've been reading about 5-HTP and just started using it. In addition to being a natural anti depressant, it supposedly suppresses the appetite, and so far, after two days, it's working like a charm.
Anybody having or had experiences with 5-HTP?

I have never tried that - I use L-glutamine to combat cravings. Haven't used it in awhile, as my cravings have really diminished.

My doc told me to start taking 5-htp. I’ve been taking the stuff for 90 + days without any side effects and I find that it has helped with may appetite.

I've been taking it off and on. I use it on those nights I know I'm not going to fall asleep easily. It seems to work great for that. I have'nt tried taking it during the day though. Afraid I might doze off at work. Lol
