Now to get caught up on this here gym log.

Thursday: 4/29/04= 1 mile walk in the morning before my plane left (I did it at the airport to releave my nerves. I hate flying by myself, so I was pretty stressed.)

Friday: 4/30/02= Swimming for half hour + Tons of walking and exploring for most of the day ( In Utah)

Saturday: 5/1/04= 1 mile walk uphill by Bridal Veil Falls in Utah + tons of walking/ shopping

Sunday: 5/2/04= 1.5 mile walk by the falls + More exploring

Monday: 5/3/04= 2 Mile Walk Video (So good to be home!!!!)

Tuesday: 5/4/04= Tons of cleaning (Yuck) + half mile walk with kids (I got to pull them in the wagon). That should get me some extra points as our street is not paved and the going was pretty rough. I know my arms were aching when I got done.

Wednesday

5/12/04= 30 Minute Mall Walk (1.5 Miles)

When I do a mall walk, it is constant walking--no shopping or stopping for a break.

I got a new pedometer that you wear all day long. My goal is to do 10,000 steps a day. So I will start recording down my daily steps.

5/12/04= 15,077 steps

The only thing I dislike about the pedometer is you have to calculate the amount of miles. 2000 steps=1 mile

It does calculate your exercise calories burned & total calories burned (exercise and basal metabolic rate) which is pretty neat to see.

Exercise calories: 676 Total calories: 1813

Saturday:

5/15/04= 2 Mile walk Video then 49 minute walk around the streets by the house

Steps for the day: 17,717

I really love my new pedometer. It actually helps me to see when I have been less active in the day. I normally would not have done the outdoor walk after the 2 mile video, but I saw that my step count was low for today. It helped to rack up the steps and really improved my mood too. The pedometer gives me a goal to work towards. The more steps, the better.

On no, I have been so bad at recording down my exercising and steps. So here it goes:

5/16/04= day off (13,683 steps)

5/17/04= 2 mile walk video (morning) plus 1 mile walk video (evening) (16,776 steps)

5/18/04=1 mile walk video then 25 minutes on treadmill (1.28 miles) (morning)
5/18/04= 1 mile walk video evening) (16,137 steps)

5/19/04= 43 minutes on treadmill (2.15 miles) (13,983 steps)

5/20/04= Day off (12,029 steps)

5/21/04= Garage sale (21,648 steps) It just goes to show you how much work a garage sale is. I sure was pooped by the end of the day.

5/22/04= 2 mile walk video (15,318 steps)

5/23/04= Day off (10,134 steps) My lowest day for steps.

5/24/04= 1 mile walk video then 40 minutes on the treadmill (2.07 miles) (14,989 steps)

5/25/04= 2 mile walk video ( afternoon

Okay that brings me current for today.

Wednesday

5/28/04=Day off-- I was outside for a good portion of the day. I started to replant and thin the raspbberries.
(12,069 Staps)

5/29/04=Day off--I worked outside with raspberries and starting on the garden. Tomorrow I need to get back in the swing of exercsing. At least I am keeping on my feet a lot.
