I finally found it at my local walmart yesterday. I was so excited to see it sitting in the milk cooler. I love the taste-very yummy.

My local Jubelee food mart has all the kinds. We love them all. Today I am going to use the 2% and try to make a custard out of it!!!! I really miss a good custard.

Thumbs up Carb Countdown Milk

Hi, guys! This is my first post here so I hope I do it right...

Anyway, the Carb Countdown milks are great! (The white milk took me a second to adjust to but now I like it). But the chocolate is awesome right away! YUMMM!! Here's a recipe you might just love!...

For a large cup of coffee try these ratios (you can adjust to your liking)...

1/2 coffee
1/2 Carb Countdown chocolate milk
2 T DaVinci sugar free syrup...we've tried the Hazelnut & Vanilla. Both are great!
1-2 packets Splenda

Warm up more in microwave. Enjoy!

Carol

the chocalate milk is wonderfull too.
Great for hot chocalate ...Just imagine whip cream probably would really top it all off very well.

Thumbs up Smoothies & protein shakes

In response to the Carb Countdown making good smoothies...yes it does, but have you tried Soy Slender soymilk? Great way to get your soy. Sweetened w/ Splenda. I've tried the vanilla, chocolate and cappucino. All delicious!

I thought the chocolate milk was excellent, but I bought the "whole milk" variety not noticing that they also offered 2 % and skim. The whole milk was WAY too thick...it just about made me gag. I felt like I was drinking thickened cream or buttermilk. Now if you're one of those people who like to drink buttermilk straight, this is for you!

I am willing to bet that the 2% is much better. I will probably buy that sometime, but for now I'm sticking with the chocolate.

I agree with your assessment of the whole hood low carb milk as a drink on its own, but it makes an excellent substitute for cream in coffee and tea and it makes nice smoothies and shakes. Saves a lot of carbs and calories in place of the heavy cream I used to use.

I saw the milk for the first time Christmas Eve at our local Giant Food store. I use skim milk in tea (have been sick for almost 2 weeks with cold/virus), which I hadn't had since I started Atkins in July. I am counting allllll those carbs for each cup of tea, but would like to try this "milk product". Sounds like the "skim" would be perfect, but I don't remember seeing any cartons called "skim". Whole milk and 2% are too rich for my tea...anyone here who used to use regular skim tried this "skim" in tea? I found it rather pricy...$3.89 for a 1/2 gallon...to pour down the skink if I hate it.

Default Found it in SoCal

Given the silly supermarket strike here, I thought it would be awhile before I found this, but I saw it and picked up a few at Vons last night. They were $3.69 which is expensive compared to regular milk but not compared to soy milk or other substitute products.

The Chocolate taste great and is nice little treat...I'd been getting the Westsoy "slender" soymilk lately...they have remarkably similar chocolate flavor and sweetness but the Hood doesn't have the grainy soy taste.

I have't tried the 2% as a "plain old glass of milk" but did have it in my cereal (Trader Joe's LC Apple CInnamon) this morning. The difference vs. regular milk was totally undetectable.

They didn't have the full-fat, but I wasn't going to get that anyway given other's comments that it was just too thick.

Basically, this stuff rocks!

Brian
