Thumbs up Low-Carb "Milk"!!

This morning at Walmart I found a great product..it's called "Carb Countdown" and it is a dairy drink very similar to milk. It tastes pretty good and best of all is only 3 carbs a cup. It's made by a company called Hood. Here's the nutrition facts if anyone wants'em:

Calories 130 Calories from fat 70
Total fat 8g
Saturated fat 5g
Cholesterol 35mg
Sodium 210mg
Total Carbohydrate 3g
Dietary fiber 0g
Sugars 3g

Default Carb countdown dairy beverage-Chocolate

I just found this at Walmart Supercenter. It is made by HOOD and is ATKINS APPROVED. But the best part is that it is WONDERFUL! They also have the dairy beverage in plain, lowfat and buttermilk, also low carb. I haven't tried those yet. As for the chocolate, here goes:

Calories 100
total fat 4.5g
Sodium 350mg
Total Carb 3g
dietary fiber 1g
sugars 2g
protein 12 g

It is sweetened with Splenda, I didn't see any sugar alcohols.

ingredients:
water, fat free milk, cream, calcuim casenate, whey protein concentrate, cocoa processed with alkali, natural flavor, buttermilk, tricalcuim phosphate, salt, disodium phosphate mono and diglycerides, carrageenan, locust bean gum, sucralose, acesulfame potassuim vallin, vitamin a palmitate and vitamin D3.

But besides all the stats, it's YUMMY and it Cocolate Milk!!

Default Chocolate milk

Hello Mary,

I also found the chocolate milk at Walmart's yesterday. (Spartanburg, SC)

I agree with you that it is very good.
I bought both the regular and the chocolate milk and am pleased with both.
The regular milk has 3 grams carb per cup while the chocolate has two.

Default Low Carb Milk in Central PA, YIPPEE....

I found it in Walmart. It's dairy section with the other milk. I got the chocolate and it's yummy. Best of all, a deal at $2.50 a half gallon. They also have 2 kinds of Arnold bread multi and wheat. It's in the bread isle, can't remember how much and didn't buy any yet to try.

Thumbs up U've got to try this!

I was at walmart today and was grabbing some heavy cream when i saw this stuff called carb countdown. It's a type of low carb milk. They have regular, fat free and chocolate. Of course, being a former chocoholic, I bought the chocolate. It only has 3 net carbs per cup. Talk about yummy. I have so been craving chocolate milk and this is as close as it gets. It wasn't even very expensive, around 2 dollars and its an 8 cup package. Anyways, I would suggest you all try it.

Have a great day!

I saw this when I went to the store on Tuesday. They didn't have chocolate, so I picked up the red container.

It was pretty good, but tasted a bit fake or powdery to me, but then again I'm a fresh milk nazi. It's a good substitute.

ETA: DUR! The kind I bought is more like whole milk. Hmm..I'll have to bug them about getting 2% in. Or chocolate.
