I can't believe what I have done to myself. I feel FAT,BLOATED, and HUGE!!!!! I only hope and pray that I can get it off quickly!
Tom is due any day, hour, min, sec. I wish he'd hurry up already, I feel like a total water buffalo! Gee, wouldn't that be nice if it were ALL water weight! I'm NOT going to kid myself though. I totally dreaded getting on that scale this morning. I don't want to feel that way again! I am going to try my hardest NOT to think about it today and go on with my business. 5 lbs. makes such a BIG difference on me and my sex life My Mom is coming tomorrow so I'll be busy cleaning and getting some odds and ends taken care of before she comes. She does LC too so it should be pretty easy to stick to the plan.

Wish you all luck with that nasty devil box this morning!
Heather

Chancy, don't think I got a chance to welcome you, so welcome and glad you joined us. Heather, so happy you're here with us. Don't be so hard on yourself. You accomplished amazing things last year. The important thing is you're back.Stacey, so glad you had some time with family. I remember how much you were looking forward to it. You know I always thought that when I had children that I would bring them up to love each other with no fighting. How silly of me to think I could reinvent siblingship.Angie, how's it going?
Huggs, Mon - Fri work time is for playing with us. lol
Liv, great memory. Jessie, how are you doing. Do you have a friend that you can swap an hour once a week for some quiet time?To each and everyone of you, please know that you are all so important to me even if I don't reply by name.

You know when I first posted the compliment/weight gain thing, I thought I was the only one and was embarrassed. Thank you for making me feel normal (well as normal as I can be). Hope you have a great day. Blessings, Maureen

Terry posted on the other thread, where are you Terry. She broke the 250, get onhere so we can congratulate you.

Here is the broccoli casserole... Some say donteat velveeta cheese but it never effected me.

2 boxes broccoli
2 boiled eggs
8 oz. velveeta cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 pack of ritz crackers ( I sub. crumbled bacon for this)

Cook broccoli, add cheese, butter, eggs stir til melted. Sprinkle top with crackers. Bake 15 min. at 350.

This dish is so easy. I used a food processor for the bacon and eggs.

Maureen: you are on your way 3lbs. good job.
Liv: good job on staying the same, that in itself is an accomplishment for me these days.

OK Gang,
I'm stepping on the scale and it laughed at me !! Seriously, I went out to dinner last night to Ryan's Steakhouse - all you can eat steak, roasted chicken, salad bar etc. You get the picture. I stayed on plan lc without any problem, it was my portion sizes that went over board. That's life - we had fun. My weight is the same
week 2: 184

Good luck to everyone else
Marie

WOW!! Good Morning All!!! What another Awesome Group we have this month. It just took me 20 minutes to read through our thread and it's only 5 days old. We are sure to keep each other going gangbusters this month!!

My husband is an Elementary Principal and he and my four kids (12,16,17,19) have ALL been home for the past TWO WEEKS I LOVE having them all here, I am a SAHM and get pretty lonely during the days usually, (thanking God again for you guys and not only the support, but the friendship I get from you during my days )

Needless to say, I haven't had time or chance to get online much (they don't ever seem to think it's mom's turn with four kids and countless friends over using the computer ) and I've been chained to the kitchen, cooking and doing dishes...

DH can't sit around doing nothing, so he remodeled one of our bathrooms, and primed and painted our bedroom, also redoing all the molding etc... keeping me busy helping him.

My scale said 245 this am... Hopefully I will continue moving steadily down now after an extended stay right around 250!!! Not to brag, but with a thankful heart, I made it through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years without ever cheating, so I have been really frustrated at not losing ANY weight. Guess my body finally believes me when I tell it we are going to really do it this time !

I so look forward to my time with you guys!

I loved Fraggle Rock! Muppets also! While at Disney in Oct. we saw a great Muppets 3D show. DH and I just loved it!
Tak, sorry about the knee. Let it rest before you push yourself.
Nikki, welcome! I think a whole lot of us were bad over the holidays! Oh well were good as of now!

I must say with having all this time off I am not looking forward to going back to work--but I have to. Congrats to everyone who lost, stayed the same or just tried really hard it will pay off in the end. My scale was undecided this morning. It went anywhere from 190.5 to 192.5 so I will leave it as unchanged and see what happens in the next week. I do have 6 days cheat free under my belt.

No loss but I really didn't expect any with my cheating. I had to go buy pants yesterday. That was a good wake up call to get going. The full length mirrors almost made me cry! Goodness, I was a size 6!!!!!!! I bought 12's!
I think even when I get back to 134 I won't be a size 6 again. The reason being I had been exercising for 2 yrs and had great muscle tone. Last nov I stopped because of my back. Finally got started again about a month ago and reinjured my back after 2 weeks. I think I was so small at 134 because of all that compact muscle.
I can walk for bit . However temps. are below zero and I am 30+ miles from the mall. I'm going to try walking around the house for 30 min at least.
I'm really bummed about the clothes and exercise thing but it was just what I really needed to get disgusted and mad at myself!! I also realized I have a friend I need to quit talking diet with. We are supposed to be doing together and he keeps trying to persuade me to cheat with him or telling me all of the so called bad things he ate. He heavily relies on/blockers/diet pills etc. This is not the influence I need and I realized it is helping drag me down.
I had a good LC day yesterday. I even ate legal at a fast food restaurant.
Terry, wow! You did great!!!!
Heather, You'll feel better soon! Funny how at goal how 5 lbs is such a big difference isn't it. I bet is is mostly water and back on LC you'll be in the potty losing it over the next few days. I'm also miserable with pms.
Angie, congrats on your 6 days!!

I haven't been excersizing lately so hopefully when I start tomorrow morning I will feel more energized and lose those 3 more pounds this month. I think once I hit 125 again I will move on to maintenance or CAD, I am reading CAD right now but I don't know if it's gonna be right for me after reading the first couple chapters. I guess we will see.

I am so glad that I stayed the same after the sat. dinner. I really had alot to eat. However, I was good yesterday. This morning I had 3 pieces of homemade candy and of course I shoved them in my mouth. I felt so awful for doing it. I drank 8 glasses of water before 6 this morning.

I just had breakfast, egg salad, and a chicken pattie. I am gonna put on a deer to cook in the crock pot so I wont have to eat processed meats.

I gotta clean house so I can get my walk in. After DD being home for 2 weeks it is a mess. She does help but on Sundays, we dont do anything.

I was just wondering how many of you exercise. I noticed it is something that isnt talked about much in this group.

Terry, welcome back. All I can say is WOOOOHOOOOO Great job. You're a great inspiration.

Michelle, have you seen the Walk Away the Pounds tapes. They're great. You do them in your house. Personally I consider exercise up there with cleaning toilets but these tapes are very doable. I got a 3 pack, 1,2 & 3 miles. They are 15, 30 & 45 mins long.

Can't remember who was having a problem with sugar (probably most of us) but the following is out of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution book "If you have sugar cravings, you should also take 500 mg of L-glutamine (one or two tablets) prior to each meal. L-glutamine has been shown to curb alcohol addiction as well. If you previously ate lots of carbohydrates, this will help to ease the transition to controlled carbohydrate eating." Hope this helps.
