I also use the treadmill for my cardio. I can't bring myself to run outside. Its either too cold, too wet, or too many bugs chasing me.

I do mountain bike in the summer and play ball hockey to break up the running some.

I run, then walk, then Jog, then run. Other then that I use the fat burning on the bikes, inclined, then level, then inclined. Or the Elliptical trainer

I love the elliptical because I can "run" on it and get my arms pumping and really get my heart rate up with no impact on my knees. Also love doing the "heart rate hill" program on the bike.

Wow, no posts from anyone that is in love with the stairclimbers? I am not a huge fan of the treadmill. Maybe I'm not using it right, but even at a jog I just can't seem to get my heart rate up, but on a slow climb with the stairclimber I'm sweating and my heart is right up there pumping away for the entire work out. Though it doesnt' work my arms I think that I get a decent workout when using the stairclimber. I can definitely feel it in my thighs. Feel the burn, baby!! Oooh, yeah!!!!!

My fave is a tie between water aerobics and mountain biking.

I also like walking - treadmill, outside or WATP vidoes.

Hi , I use my Treadmill at least four times a week. I have arthritis in my hips so I can't run but i walk for at least 60 minutes at a time . I can't walk faster than 3 .2 but I'm getting better everyday. Since I can't walk any faster am I wasting my time. I also do pilates several times a week.

I walk and walk and walk, and sometimes I ride my mountain bike, but just on the road. I walk outside when I can, and I walk at club on treadmill with good incline (makes it closer to walking outside). Also, sometimes once a week I do a 5min. warmup and 10min HIIT on a stairclimber machine followed by 30-50min very moderate speed on treadmill, supposed to mobilze and then burn stubborn fat that way.

I lift 3 days a week and recently figured out that whether I do three 45 min. walks a week or cardio twice a day every day, i don't really lose any more weight so just don't do insane amounts of cardio any more and what I do, I do at more moderate levels, 'cause all that was happening was my legs were wore out regularly

No Arizona, you are not wasting your time at all, if you read my above post, I slowed my walking down from 4mph to 3.2-3.5 and I am getting better results than before!

Since beginning this thread, I now also walk and walk and walk - up until last week I was walking 3-4 miles daily. Have an achilles injury at the moment, so I'm resting it - frustrating though

I love my exercise bike...I have it in front of my TV and watch TV episodes on DVD while cycling. An 'hour-long' episode of 24 or Babylon 5 is about 45 minutes without commercials...a perfect length of time. I look forward to cycling and seldom notice the effort now...

I have a pile of videos, mostly Cathe step videos- So when I'm at home, 45 minutes or so of high impact step work is what I do. Otherwise I'll powerwalk a few miles.

I love jumping rope. It isn't boring. You don't need to much special equipment, you don't need a lot of space. It's easy and low impact. And you can burn lots of calories in 30 minutes.
