Default Quick, Creamy Chocolate Treat

I just made this, and WOW!

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Chatfield's has 17 gm carbs)

2 cups heaviest whipping cream

1 cup (or, to taste) favorite DaVinci SF Syrup. (I used a mixture of coconut, Amaretto, cinnamon, and carmel.)

Additional Splenda if needed.

Combine ingredients and beat with an electric hand mixer until thickened, about 1-2 minutes. Chill.

Makes about 3 1/2 - 4 cups; 8 servings of 1/2 cup; less than 3 gm carbs per serving.

Chocolate cravings banished with no sugar alcohol side effects!

This sounds great! And you could do so many variations with the flavored syrups - I shall try this soonish

I'm sorry, I am new at all of this. Where do you buy these syrups? Are they in stores (if so, which section) or do you have to order them online? Are they expensive?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

www.davincigourmet.com

About $7-9 for a big bottle.

Cheaper if you can find them elsewhere.

Thank you! I am mortified at the amount I am about to spend! I haven't seen so many flavors in one place at one time!!

Everyone is writing about this and I've seen it in lots of recipies but only officially joined the forum today--my first chance to ask.

Thanks again!!!

Hi Hogie,

Welcome to the forum! Just click on "Sweet Treats" below this post for dozens of recipes. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of that page and change the line that says "last 10 days" to "from the beginning".

Default DaVinci Syrup

I'm in the Detroit Metro area and would like to know where I can find the DaVinici Syrups? I'm going to try the health food stores first. I did read somewhere that someone said I might be able to find it at WalMart or even TJMaxx.
Thanks!

Bump! This creamy treat is delicious! Yes, it's basically glorified chocolate whipped cream, but it definitely fits the bill when an emergency chocolate attack hits. And the splash of syrup is an added bonus. Mmmm....

I'm new to this also....was able to pick up Da Vinci syrup at WalMart in the coffee section. Paid $3 +change for 12.7 oz bottle. Thinking about making this as we speak.
