Thumbs up Spicy Tomato and Veggie Sausage Soup

I whipped up this soup this afternoon after a walk in the cold, and it sure thawed me out! It's really tasty.

1 14-oz can (the smaller size) stewed tomatoes
1 cup water or broth
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
1/2 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 package Yves veggie breakfast links, sliced
Dash Tabasco sauce (or to taste)
salt and pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a pot, bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat and simmer until veggies are tender, about 20 min. More or less water can be added depending on preferred consistency.

Nutrition for *entire recipe*:
421 calories
8 g fat
45 g total carbs: 6 g fiber, 39 g effective carbs
49 g protein

You'll probably get four bowls out of this recipe.

Edit: To avoid having the sausages fall apart, slice them and brown both sides in a seperate pan. Add them just before serving.

I've made this soup three times now. Love it.
