congrats on your girl, primrose thats so exciting

i really want a girl, but of course i wont say that because what if it's a boy. I think a boy might be easier cause i already have one, but i'd really like a daughter. I have to wait another 10 weeks or so to find out the gender. It seems like a long time to wait now but i bet it'll fly by

people are already giving me stuff for the baby. Carseat, swing, baby gear... I'm just barely 11 weeks! Lol

ps my fatigue is pretty much gone (dont want to jinx myself though!). I think at 39 im a lot healthier now than i was with my first. Eating smaller amounts a lot more frequently really seems to help my energy levels. Hope evryone else gets their energy back soon

walnut, I'm already getting some baby stuff, too. My sister sent me her bog stroller and 2 infant carriers with car bases (her daughter is now 4). And my MIL informed me yesterday that her boyfriend's mother in Indiana made us a quilt for the baby - very nice of someone we've never even met!

primrose, congrats on finding out!!

I've actually been really lucky as far as symptoms since this fatigue is really the only one I have. I had some nausea and breast soreness for about 2 weeks early on, but since about 8 weeks or so, I've been feeling completely normal, just tired! I know I've been very fortunate that some extra sleep is all I really need.

In other news, I took yesterday "off" from low carbing - I didn't feel well, and I was admittedly just being a big lazy baby :P I worked from home, so I ate one of my husband's Hot Pockets for lunch. Then I had some fruit from the grocery store salad bar in the afternoon. For dinner, we went to the local steakhouse, and I had...wait for it...kid's grilled cheese (with extra cheese) and french fries! It was delicious, but my body wasn't happy with me, and I ended up puking (only the second time in this entire pregnancy so far) right before I went to bed. Right back to business today - I don't need to learn that lesson twice!

I will say, though, that I have a planned "splurge" on October 9. Our first wedding anniversary is October 10, which is a Monday, so we'll celebrate on the 9th, and I fully intend to have some cheese blintzes for brunch (we had a brunch wedding) and some cupcakes from the place that made our wedding cake. Hopefully, I can at least pace myself enough that day to not end up ill again!

It's human nature to want the opposite gender if they have already one in another gender. I sometimes imagine say, what if I had 5 boys only.I would be sad bcoz I don't have a girl for that special mother-daughter bonding.but what if I have only girls.Still a little part of me would be sad becoz I cannot experience a son's love. It's just our nature,I suppose, though some people judge us for wanting a specific gender.
Hopefully I will have more kids of both genders.

In other news,I saw a video of an ultrasound of a baby crying frightened in-utero.i felt so sorry for the baby.I had no idea they could cry like that.
