Talking hello everyone!

happy to join I am in my 4th day of induction and is my first time doing the Atkins program. Drinking lots of water and finally today deep in ketosis. So far lost 4 pounds I have been raking and burning leaves all day but this evening I feel very tired. This is the most I have weigh start weight 205 lbs for my 5'2 frame. I noticed I am sleeping more soundly and my dog loves me much more now that I eat so much protein and she gets a couple of bites This forum has helped me a lot and look foward of much more

Welcome Aboard!

You have found THE BEST forum for support, encouragement and motivation.

I noticed on your profile that you didn't indicate that you have read any low carb books. Its VERY important to follow Atkins (or any other low carb plan) as it is written. Once you understand how and why the program works the better equipped you'll be to succeed! Do yourself a huge favor and pick up a copy; you can find a gently used one at a thrift shop or on amazon.com for really cheap. Its worth the investment!!

Best wishes for a happy & healthy journey!

Hey Azarrosa

I am day 3 into induction and have the exact same amount of weight I would like to lose as you (I am 6'1"- so 80 pounds less for me is 196).

...not quite twins, lol- but we have the same goal! Good luck and keep us posted.

Dr. Atkins has written/released several books and recipe books. The one most refer to is, "DR. ATKINS' NEW DIET REVOLUTION" (2002 version) or more recently released after the death of Dr. Atkins, "The New Atkins For a New You".

Personally I like DANDR ("DR. ATKINS' NEW DIET REVOLUTION") but its up to you.
